I've done all the missions for a storyline agent named Bram Vynneve. She refered me to someone else. I closed the window thinking that the agent was put in the people and places directory. I was wrong and now Miss Vynneve won't talk to me. Is there a trick to get her to repeat her dialog where she told me the name and location of the next storyline agent? Thanks. ---sudo

Bram Vynneve does not refer you to a further storyline agent, but to a random "normal" agent. If you missed the referral, that's no problem, you can pick any agent that your standings allow you to use.
To see which agents are available, ingame check info on the corp you were working for in the tutorial. There is a tab called "agents", you can go to any one that is listed as "available".

Be aware that from time to time while doing normal agent runs an "important" or "storyline" mission will be offered.
These reward the player with better standing towards one or multiple factions after completion.
So be sure to check requirements and if you are able to do them (my suggestion is that you only start doing agent missions with a destroyer or cruiser, not frigates).

I had this exact same issue...and so are a lot of other people. When I was referred to Bram from the tutorial agent, my "People & Places" got updated, so when Bram referred me out, I assumed the same thing would happen. Uh-uh. Didn't know what else to do at the time, so I e-mailed Support; basically, they told me the exact same thing. Bram referring you to another agent is basically a "left-over bit" from a previous agent setup. The name she gave you is essentially ignorable. With the sheer # of inquiries I heard on the newbie corp channel about this, I surely hope CCP looks into getting this sorted post-haste. ****************** Stuck-up half-witted scruffy-lookin' nerfherder since 1975. |

Was it just me or di people find those missions kinda tough. Combat heavy missions when I'd basically done no combat.

Whether you get combat or courier missions depends on the agent type (and to a lesser degree of its corp). Check the missions forum for info on agent type and how it affects kill/courier-mission ratio.
Once you accumulate enough standing with the agents corporation, you will be able to access higher level agents, with far higher rewards.
