I am quite certain that it can generate a 90m+ per week profit if someone has suppliers lined up. Surely it is worth something? -->Sig |

I can't give you the answer you want, but I can provide some insight as to what *might* be the problem...
Scout 280 has the same stats with significantly less training and more importantly fitting requirements.
Minmitar ships, ESPECIALLY the frigs got RAPED this last patch with the fitting changes to launchers and on a frig size ship Adv. weapon upgrade don't really do jack for minmitar cause the base ship fittings are so pathetically underpowered to start the bonus does very little.
As a result 280 T2 is prolly nearly impossible to fit and may be falling out of favor due to this.

Problem? There is no problem. I just can't keep up with the demand for them, and wanted to know what the print was worth to someone that could ramp up production to meet demand. -->Sig |

What are people putting these things on?
And how much do they go for?

ohh, another thought, there was a lady toon in the WTB threads I beleive that would "rent" BPO's through a dummy corp in secure way to take over production with no risk to the BPO owner.
If you can't unload it, you might be able to look that person up and make arangements to get out of the work and still make a lot of money per week :-p

1 to 1.2m per unit. I don't know what they are going on, but I would imagine all Minmatar ships. They are dreadfully easy to train for, to be honest. Much easier, than, say a Medium or Large weapon. And no more difficult than a standard Tech 2 equipment. -->Sig |

Yes she is building from that BPO (which is a nice arrangement, for those curious). So I am getting ISK for it. I would like the capital that the sale of this BPO would generate based on it's weekly profit potential, as I am delving heavily into Capital Ship production. -->Sig |

Agreed on the profit potential at least. Our 280 II print hasn't been outside the fab in ages , running nonstop for months now. Definitely one of the better money prints from small guns along with the 125 and 150mm rails. Could try a mathematical approach to it, see what the average pay-back time on the sold prints are when they're running at full capacity, and see what that time range lands you at cashwise for the print.
Wouldn't bet on capital ships being a better investment in the long term, however. the gun print has nice low up front capital costs and unlike capital ship BPOs the market can't really get crowded out since there's a finite number around. As production goes artifical restraints like that seem to be the only way to rescue producers from their own collective stupidity, might take longer before the cap ship market goes down the tubes but chances are it eventually will.

I ran the numbers, and annual profit potential is 7b+ -->Sig |

That still leaves the question, what is a good number of months or percentage of annual income potential to expect for a T2 BPO? -->Sig |

The only thing ppl will put this on is a wolf. I still use them on mine sometimes, but the tech II 250mm is easier to fit and allows more fitting options for the rest of my slots.

Edited by: dabster on 28/07/2005 20:18:45 You could probably calculate even more than 1-1.2, up to 1.5.

Actually, it is used quite extensively and is a hot little item. I know people (that have component suppliers) that haven't had this baby out of the factory for months. -->Sig |

Yeah, when I ran the numbers last night, I checked the market, and they were indeed around 1.5m, giving 1.2m profit per unit. That equates to almost 8b per year potential profit. -->Sig |
