The poems will be published alongside 1,300 others in the first ever complete edition of Kipling's verse... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-21585390
I can hardly contain my excitement! Kipling. ALL of Kipling, in one edition.
Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

Now that is something I will splash out on. Kipling is one of the UKs finest writers and poets and I devour everything 19th century.
I think I'll pick it up in paper and digital formats too. "I think you should buy a new Mayan calendar. Mine has muscle cars on it." --áKenneth O'Hara

Hadn't thought on that, but yes - Dead tree and electronic versions both. Really, I must have my Kipling. Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

Probably not - that's a hard challenge to meet, but one can hope. Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. First, the over -ú3 million Staffordshire hoard. Then, the remains of Richard III. Now this literary find.
What long-missing British icon could be next? I'm hoping for this. Please support: export of settings in editable format

Very cool about the recovered Kipling works. He's an interesting character. He could be brutally honest in his writing, for a Victorian. Not all of it was Rule Britannia or quaint India expat tales. If you help someone when they're in trouble, they will remember you when they're in trouble again.

Not all of it was Rule Britannia or quaint India expat tales. That's the reason why he's the patron poet of soldiers. Well, him and Alan Seeger.
Kipling wrote:When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains, And the women come out to cut up what remains, Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains An' go to your Gawd like a soldier. Go, go, go like a soldier, Go, go, go like a soldier, Go, go, go like a soldier, So-oldier of the Queen!
Pretty blunt stuff for a Victorian.
Edit: Hell, that's pretty blunt even for today. Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.
