i used this for lvl 3 missions:
4x named 250mm rails with Uranium 3x named heavy launchers ---- 1x 10mn ABII 3x hardners 1x Medium Shield booster II ---- 4x Power Diagnostics
tank from hell, have comlpeted every single lvl3 mission with it.

That is a nice setup. I'm not at my own PC at the moment so can't check fully, but could you not change that Medium Shield Booster II for a Large Tech II, and swap the AB for a Cap Recharger? I ran a setup like that on my old Ferox with superb results. Think you may need to drop a Railgun for a Heavy Launcher though due to PG issues...

Hmm, I use a Large Shield Booster II, but my capacitor don't like it one bit. Im at Engineering 5 and Energy Management 3, plus some other cap and grid boosting stuff.
Tho it tanks like a... tank... I run out of cap far too soon for my liking, tho running it indefinately is probably impossible, so I am going to try and swap it for a Medium II one.
Anyway, set-up I intend to use:
High: 5 x 'Limos' I Heavy Launcher (Tech 2 launchers when they are available and affordable) 2 x Medium Nosferatu II (Or you can use turrets if you think they help)
Medium: 10mn Afterburner II (I dont like to wait ages to collect loot) Shield Boost Amplifier I (30% recharge rate) Medium/Large Shield Booster II 2 x factional shield hardener
Low: 2 x Power Diagnostic System II (Cost a ton, but tanking/grid/cap bonus make them worth it for Caldari) Ballistic Control System I Not sure on the 4th slot... Warp Core Stabilizer?

high: 5X 250mm 2 + 2X arbalest assault launcher
medium:
1X 10mn ab 2 1X med shieldbooster 2 1X amp 2X hardener
low:
1X magnetic stab 2 3X pdu 2
works really well, for a longrange ship. optimal with 250 2 is around 23 k with AM.

2x 250mm rails 4x heavy launchers 1x missile launcher ---- 1x 10mn AB 2x hardners 1x Large Shield booster 1x webifier ---- 3x Power Diagnostics 1* BCU
The webifier is there to slow down any fast ships to enable the missiles to hit etc... I normally run a passive thermal and active kinetic or EM depending on the mission.

I use as a heavy tank setup:
5x arbalest heavy, 2x 250mm rails 1x med shield booster II, 1x large shield extender (regolit are not that costly), 3x hardener 5x power diag II 5x med drones
I got more then 6000 shield and my recharge rate is awesome. All modules run forever and i never faced a lvl3 mission where i have to warp out.

mmh weird, loads of caldari are whining that they want a rail-platform, now they have 1 and fit it with launchers. Also i tested the ferox with heavy missile bays and i must say that its quite weak compared to 250mm rails. no launcher can match the damageoutput of 250mm 2 guns on a ferox. hehe might try it with ion blaster 2 and mwd

* 250mm railgun II on Ferox: 17.68 dps with 27 km optimal * Heavy launcher II on Ferox: 22.04 dps with ~60 km 'optimal'
(difference comes from extra damage mods you can fit on missile version, as it's way less demanding grid-wise. Without the mods damage output is 16.36, i.e. 8% or so below the rail, but with 2x more 'optimal'

where do you get those numbers from?
btw i get like +- 100 (normal) hits with 250 rails with +- 4 sec rof. launchers gave me about 150 hits every 10-11 sec.
and i can still blow up frigs @ 5 k doing also 100 damage each hit up and goes up to 100 k range with less damage offcourse.
when i saw my light missile hitting a frig that did 500 m/s with 40 damage i know that, youre heavy missile bay will only do less or the same damage..

These are quite old (read pre-CW, and not entirely accurate) setups that I have used.
I began with: High: 3x 'Malkuth' Heavy Launchers 2x 'Malkuth' Assault Launchers 2x Small Beam Laser
Med: 1x Medium Shield Booster II 3x Active Hardener II (Therm, Therm, EM) 2x Large Shield Extender II
Low: 4x Shield Power Relay
Though as I got more confident with Level 3 missions, I progressed to something that was capable of more damage: High: 5x 'Prototype' 250mm Gauss Cannon (could have been 200mms) 2x 'Malkuth' Assault Launchers
Med: 1x 10MN AB II 1x Medium Shield Booster II 2x Active Hardener II (Therm, EM) 1x Large Shield Extender II
Low: 1x Tracking Enhancer II 1x Magnetic Stabiliser 1x Ballistic Control Unit 1x Power Diaqgnostic Unit
Initially, you will want to tend towards the first setup, it is a massive tank and should allow you to get familiar with the ship and the missions. It allows you to make a lot of mistakes and will out-shield a stock Raven.
As you progress, tend towards the second setup. There is/was a much greater increase in range, and allows for more instantaneous damage. There is a lot less room for error with this setup.
Something that used to be valid, was the use of defender missiles (hence assault launchers in both setups). Though they have been berfed somewhat with the new, faster, missiles.

Note i checked damage for 250mm rail with all skills maxed, but no damage mod. With single tech.1 stabilizer you have listed the damage will go to ~20.25 dps, with tech.2 stabilizer it'll be ~21.5 dps ... but then there's no tech.2 ballistic modules out yet so the guns have advantage here.

Seems about right for the turret. For missiles, with this kind of setup you'll be getting ~190 hp hits on average every 8.5 sec or so.

Dice, there's a sticky post at the top of the topic list. Look up the Ferox there.
To be honest, most setups have been posted there, with experiences from the users. Check the last few pages, as the patch messed things up for Caldari.

This is my setup before cold war, I remember than I tanked raven npc with 425 railgun: High ->5 heavy launchers (Arbalest if possible), 2 med nos (Diminishing if possible). Med ->1 L C5 Shield boost + 1 Shield Amp, 2 Hardeners, 1 Cap recharger II. Low ->4 Power diag II.
With this setup you can have more than 4000 shield if I remember. You can replace Cap recharger by another Shield boost amp for more HP in injection of Shield booster. Try it but with missils' modifications I don't know if it work. Hope I help you. Cu you ingame |

No one uses Target Painter instead of a hardner?
Ya, it's an extra cap drain, but it will up your damage vs. small targets a nice amout. 25% sig radius bonus on the Painter 1.
