Instead of nerfing all the current ships. Why the hell does CCP not just bring out new ships? If they use the excuse that some of the ships are too strong, or have an advantage, then that is just dumb. Why not bring out new ships with even better advantages then? Why not invent tech3 battlecruisers and tech3 battleships instead of nerfing all the battlecruisers.
Battleships training is nuts enough as it is, but if necessary, bring out a new battleship, for each faction. Either a tech 3 or a tier 4. CCP just nerfing all the damn ships is absolutely unnecessary.
Creating new ships with better abilities will counter act the ones that CCP so called think are stronger with too many advantages. Just counter balance it. |

Because after a few years there would be so many useless ships in game it would be ridiculous. And with that mind there would be frigates that could solo supers.

It a stupid way to do things, since most of the game would soon consist of useless/newbie trap ships and no sensible company would waste their limited resources in such a fashion. If you want new ship models too, you're taking art assets away for graphical updates and actually useful features. It's simply a bad and wasteful way to make things. |

And as for "nerfing all the ships", that's a bit inaccurate, seeing as only 2 of the last 60ish ships were nerfed, a few were tweaked and many were buffed.
So did you fly the Drake or the Cane?
And to really dumb it down, for those who need it: If one ship is better than all the others, why fly anything else? MODULAR DRONES

its not a stupid a way, its what actually happen in RL if a vehicle get too old you dont upgrade it you invent a better one.
like someone already purposed some time ago they should ma different step of a ship lets take the stabber i would like to see a mk.1 before the nano nerf and hp buff a mk.2 with the last stats and a mk.3 with the current stat each one with the visual model they had at the time.
but i understand it would be too much work for basically nothing because no one would use the old ships in most of the cases |

If you suggest adding new ships to the game then explain what roles those new ships should take? Why it is necessary to add them? Your current suggestion goes against tiericide that CCP been pushing for quite a while. |

Real life does not have bearing on a game people pay for to play. In real life, whoever has the best car will sell the most, no one designs a car to be equal to another, the idea is to be better. In a game, you will only use what is best, as in real life. So of one is better, nothing else is used. That's makes so very boring and very predictable game play.
A better analogy would have been a military one: Bringing a knife to a gunfight springs to mind. But if there are no guns, or everyone has a gun, then the playing field levels out and the fight becomes less predictable. MODULAR DRONES

This has been an interesting debate. Firstly, the idea of a tech 3 battleship, is to bring a missiles to a gunfight, so to say. Instead of a knife to a gunfight, however the missiles should have limitations. I am not talking about cruise missiles, those things are slower than my grandmother (bless her soul).
I under a point made about a tech3 frigate, or destoyer able to solo battleships, there not tech3 of those types, but i am sure with some rebalancing they can create new designs, with various additional options, with balanced limitations of course. |

Why create a whole new bunch of powerful ships that need to be tested, balanced, textured, and retested than to tweak and nerf the one or two things that are "off" from everything else? I heard something about a new suggestion and roles and what not, so I'm adding these as a suggestion. I manipulated some of the current T1, covert ops, and black ops stats and a added some things... oh and a new mod which i'm going to find another place to put in these forums along with a bunch of stuff i fancy. Be kind its my first post.
New mod: advanced ship tractor beam - enables capturing ship to tow/transport captured ship and sub-warp speed absorbs heat during operation.

Spec ops battlercruisers
Spec ops bonus: 7.5 percent less heat absorbed by advanced ship tractor beam per level
Fixed Bonus: Can fit Advanced ship tractor beam and multiplies the cloaked velocity by 100% per level Note: can fit Covert Cynosural Field Generators and Covert Jump Portal Generators. No targeting delay after decloaking. Cloak reactivation delay reduced to 5 seconds.

Something else we need is the ability to be able to further customize the existing ships,i don't know something like tech 1 reconfiguration slots to be able to modify an ship slot lay out and bonuses for that ship but keep it in the role it already has.
Trowing tech 3 ships all over the place its gonna kill the game, look at the existing t3 ...takes same time to train as a HAC and are way better then them so as a result 98% of people are flying t3s and the rest HACs.

personally I want customization and Advanced Jury Rigging is the actual skill you need for it |

We have had a vast array of ships that, until recently, were almost completely unused. This is a direct result of tiering vessels so that higher tiers are inherently superior to others.
Now we have more variety in ships actually flown in game than at any point in the games history. Combat in EvE has been revitalized, tactics are evolving at an accellerated pace to match... it's like a whole new game in many ways.
Once most (if not all) ships in EvE are viable again then, and only then, should an eye be turned towards expanding the line up... and only where necessary to actually improve game play instead of simply creating a brand new flavor of the month that invalidates the existence of whole groups of ships. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |
