I was wondering if there are some other sources of wormhole lore besides the wiki pages. Someone over comms mentioned that the bit of lore of why there is no bounty for sleepers is interesting, but I haven't been able to find anything about that. Maybe this particular topic was more of an extrapolation of other lore or science articles or it's in a book? Either way I would appreciate it if someone can point me towards some more wormhole lore. |

You can also check out the Chronicles. A good number of them involve wormholes. |

Once, long ago, I was flying in a section of W-space; some long forgotten hole with the ghostly remains of dead poses haunted every moon. All around where the wrecks of dead ships, holed eons ago by long forgotten battles only the dead crew knew about. Now, I'm not a superstitious pilot myself,...

This thread will likely get moved to EVE Fiction. Of course no one pays us any attention in here. This forum is where they put all the bastards. |

tl;dr version of wormhole space:
As you all probebly know the Jove are the advanced race in eve. This was (partly)achieved by making themselves superior by genetic manipulation. Over time the gen. manipulation went wrong and the jove disease was born, a dissease where deadly depressions would take th life of the jove. Because the gene pool of the Jove's was so ****** up for so long they didnt know how to fix it anymore. it was too far gone. as far is known, the Jovians are still researching how to roll back the disease.
There was a small splinter group within the Jove society that thought to take the gene pool of human civilizations that werent jovian and use those as a template to restore their own genes. This was first tried on the Jak-ahl. However to their relative proximity to the eve-gate, and the radiation comming from it their genes could no longer be used.
So the splintercell went to look for an unradiated gene pool. and in Anoikis they found the Talocan. The talocan had been living in Anoikis since the collapse of the Eve-gate. Far far away from the radiation their gene pool was as close to the original humans as the Jovians could hope for. So they started harvesting the genes of the Talocan for research (aka, genocide).
However, they were still jovians, just as susceptible to the jovian dissease as the ones back home. In their time searching for an answer out side of Jove space they had picked up their own skills though. They had become true master in virtual reality. As time went on, and the research turned out to go slower then hoped, the splinter cell jovians made a call. They build big starbases where computers would be looking for the answer on their own. surrounded by automated defenses those starbases would calculate forever. the Jovians themselves would enter a virtual reality, where they would be save from the depression and death that followed. So they build the starbases, plugged themselves into the virtual reality, and went to Sleep.
Its unknown if there are still sleeping Sleepers in the buildings since noone has been able to get through the outer shell of any of the structures in wormhole space. Smiley who knows. all we ever see is the automated defenses |

It was close to 3am and I suddenly realised I'd be up all night, and not in a good way. |
