A player who leaves a corp to avoid a war should have said war follow them where ever they go for 7 days. CCP implement this fix and stop pandering to World of War Crack space community. War decs are broken fix them. |

Another easy fix would simply be to have 7 day timers on leaving and joing corps, 7 days is not a long time to wait to join/leave or form a corp and it would prevent the cowards from abusing war dec mechanics by dodging.
Why is dodging concord bannable but dodging a war is deemed acceptable?
bbut what happens if the toon leaves the corp one day before the war ends? There's nothing a million chinese guys can't do cheaper. |

War decs are broken and this suggestion would only break them further.

Unneeded builder/PvE playstyle bashing aside, I do agree though that the war should follow you for a short bit, though.

No.
Joinging a player run corp in high sec should provide something that is of benefit to recieve, as well as suck to lose if you leave the corp.
Being in the NPC corps shouldn't provide you the same level of profitability and performance as people in player run corps. People who want to "be the best" at their proffesion should be joining player run corps to do so.
To be the best miner, builder, or mission runner you should be in a player run corp. Mission running is really the only one that actually provides any real benefit, but the tax isn't a big enough deal to discourage leaving a corp due to war. |

"**** yes, I got him to bail on his corp. Sucks for him, enjoy hating the game for a while." - Your missed opportunity for epeen.
Instead, you allowed it to be a victory for them. OP is bored/outraged/emotional? -áCheck. -áOP is in high sec? -áCheck. -áOP is in NPC or solo corp? -áCheck. -áOP demands CCP fix the situation? -áCheck. -áLaugh at OP |

If you've got a grudge against a specific person, just put a bounty on them or suicide gank them.
The thing is being forced to drop from your player corp should hurt more than it does atm. Losing by fleeing your corp should matter. But there does still need to be a way to opt out of war to prevent being hounded out of the game altogether. |

Another missed opportunity for a thread in Features and Ideas Discussion.
On the topic:
Corporations leaving alliances will take the war with them.
0Lona 0ltor wrote:Why is dodging concord bannable but dodging a war is deemed acceptable? Because you already said: it is deemed acceptable.
Wars can only be started by corporations and alliances, which are considered groups of one or more players, whereas a single player is always alone and therefore would make wars into a grieving tool. Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling. |

If CCP "fixes" wardecs they will either make them consensual, stealth nerf them into oblivion or manage to break them again.
just name and shame players that leave corp during a war by recording it in their corp history
and lower the cost of decs to ~20mil
