If I want to run multiple plexes in the same system, I have to change ships. Still not sure *if I like how that impacts my gameplay.
There have always been farmers in FW; they'll just go back to running missions like they did before. I like getting frigate kills more than watching hordes of manticores fly by. |

That's got pretty stiff repercussions. Defensive plexing becomes much more cumbersome. Overall LP generation from complexes gets slashed by at least half, since most of the plexes run for LP are run by T1 frigates. I'm not sure where I stand regarding the ensuing scarcity of LP. If a t1 frigate has 2 stabs to prevent a scram I don't think it will do enough dps to run a medium or a large. Unless its a top skilled pilot. But most top skilled pilots are out for the pvp anyway. Its the new born alts that are running these plexes.
But anyway you can stab cruisers/bcs easier than frigates. I don't see this effecting farmers much.
As far as forcing pvpers to fly different ship hulls, maybe. If people really care about plexing they will. But IMO 99% of pvpers don't care about plexing in 90% of systems. So I don't think this will change much on its own.
I think people are just flying small stuff because it is what gets the most fights. More people are willing to risk a 10 million isk frigate than are willing to risk a 50 mill cruiser. Therefore there are more people willing to fight frigates and destroyers than there are people willing to fight cruisers. There is finally enough pvp that people are considering the costs of losses. I don't think changing the plexes will effect this very much.
Also with the gcc change the number of gate camps has increased making it much more likely that if you fly a cruiser in low sec you are just going to get ganked. Even frigates get caught by some of the camps but cruisers and above are really poor choices. Make all gates like regional gates and you might see more larger ships.
That said flying a cruiser is still more likely to get you a fight than it was a year ago. It will likely be a fight against a small group of frigs and dessies as opposed to 1v1 with another cruiser. But I don't really mind that much.

See, the DCM/Hotpocket schol of Flying goes like this. 1) never offensive plex. 2) When a scrublord is in your plex, pref a small, undock a gank Coercer. 3) Fly said Coercer in to the Plex. overheat all the things and shoot at the enemy. 4) Warp pod back to station, repeat steps 2 and 3 until enemy is ejected from plex. 5) Commence attempts at smacktalk
if all else fails, log on more alts and/or Cynthia, and repeat steps 2 through 5.
It sucks when people don't fly so that you can welp your ships into them again and again, but that's no reason to change plex mechanics. lolol i loled so hard |

Ask your allies in the mintard militia, the infamous Soft Angels alliance to share their stabbed, cloaky Thrasher fit with you. I am pretty sure it can run almost all plexes. |

Novice-T1 frigs Small- T1 and T2 frigs, T1 and T2 dessies Only dessies and t2 frigs can run down the timer for offensive of dplexing Medium-T1&T2 frigs dessies and cruisers, only cruisers can run down timers Large-T1 T2 frigs, dessies, cruisers, BC, and T3 cruisers, only BC can run down timer, this plex would spawn like the normal plexs Unrestricted - All ship types allowed, only T1 T2 BC and BS can run timer, spawns in the same manner large plexs do now.
This IMO is the best way to incorporate all ship sizes into FW, it allows for all ships to be used, but also means farmers can't run around in stabbed and cloaked frigs.
Also if you complain about having to reship too often, you live too far from the war front

If this change were implemented with the timer rollback, a frigate could still chase a cruiser out of a medium and have the button count back to its default state (giving the cruiser incentive to fight the frigate), but closing the plex would require a ship of the right size.
