Speakers of French are kindly invited to come read this statement in their native language by following this link.
From Teonusude system, Molden Heath region.
Today, and almost a week after its inception, the French Force Alliance would like once again to address all who would read the following text. We would like to take a political and ethical stance by affirming our strict and absolute opposition to slavery in all its forms.
Slavery belongs to prehistory –- or rather, it should –- but, as we all know, it is very real even today. It is closely linked to racism, which should not have a place in this galaxy or another, either. That slavery continues to exist is due only to the antiquated moral values of people who are as evil as they are self-righteous and arrogant in thinking that they have a right to control human beings and treat them worse than their own pets, while touting with excessive pride and pomp that it is for an alleged greater good, and claiming that only they hold the keys to it.
Today, therefore, the French Force Alliance Council has decided to make public this statement of internal policy that we will not tolerate slavery in any shape or form within our ranks and that we condemn it and the people who practice it, Amarrians or not, vigorously and unanimously.
Our intentions are, however, not to involve ourselves in the ongoing military struggles on these issues, but simply to make our stance known to all.

This is indeed excellent news, and brings our movement hope.
I would encourage other alliances to take note and follow your path.
I salute to your fighters and wish you well on your travels. Maybe one day we can fight side my side.

I agree with the Statement of Ortu
the only thing i have trouble with is the name of the Corp
French Force Alliance surly this is a form off racism putting poeple of joining because they are not French..

The only thing we care about is that you speak French, which has nothing to do with being French. Anything else is none of our concern, as stated previously in our inauguration communiquÚ. Please read it and the ensuing discussions and don't put words in our mouths that we have not said.

I laugh at your emperor, where did it get him?, death. Your emperor was a fool, high time you realize your years of forced slavery will come to a end sooner or later and when it does, your "superior" society crumble from the shock and you will finally feel the pain of the minmatar people.

ok so you dont care where a person is born just that the whole world should speak French..
which is just as corp that want english speaking Members or some other lingo,
you should get non-speakers and teach them french this way you are a better corp/poeple

To be honest I just dont see the point in this statement. Your alliance doesnt agree with slavery but are not prepared to take a military stand against it? Why release a public statement saying that if your not prepared to back it up with force?

Stop being such a nitpicker, you're just looking to start trouble here, possibly even picking on the whole "French" thing. It's obvious you're not even trying to understand the whole concept and I'm guessing you possibly would not have said a thing if it had been "German" or "Russian" instead of "French".
Now consider the French speakers of EVE who speak bad English. Trust me, there are many. They're very hard people to integrate in a game that is dominated by English. Is it not fair and perfectly normal that they should be allowed to be brought together and play in their own language? That is our only concern. The Russian/Ukrainian speakers have been doing the same for years, just look how many corp names start with "RUS" or "UKR". I don't see you whining at them, although they isolate themselves a lot more. If, by limiting our members to speakers of French, we miss out on nice, competent people who do not speak French, then that is our problem and ours only, but we appreciate your concern, however bitter and hypocritical it is.

your right i was being a nitpicker but you are wrong about me not having a go at the german or russian or whoever it was that you stated anti-racism and you are showing that you may not be, but by your action as being only french speacking Corp , that you are indirectly are bouycotting us who not speak french and if your corp was willing to give lessons i would sign up to learn french and if the germans did the same i would be glad to learn German or Russian or hindu or whatever lingo there is but have limited time so could only spend one or two hours aweek to this.
I would be happy to teach poeple in my Corp English and i would learn theys, I would also buy a translater book/program to help in this matter..

From what I understand this isn't a "french speaking only" policy, just that "official language is french so you must have people who speaks french to ensure that your whole corp understand what's happening" . That's all, don't run after some other concept, it's called pragmatism and care for others. In an other way: if spoken language in your corp/alliance etc is language X and you got members who only speak language Y you must have peeps to help them understand.
