is there any command ship that gives a bonus for ROF or damage of any weapon?
I m finding one of the reasons playing together or solo its equally effective is that the income while running anoms or missions its the same as long as you don't die regardless of amount of pilots (due to bounties being split anyway).
However if there was a command ship that increased the firepower of ships when in a team, it would make it more efficient and thus encourage flying in groups.
if there is none, wouldn't it be a nice role to give to the field command ships? as to make them actual command ships instead of just stronger battle cruisers? |

:( to be honest I don't get what you mean...
and to the first reply, that was an awesome proposal back then, not sure about the need of a whole new class of ship, but certainly we need to get something to make fights faster, the focus on tanks and ehp its really annoying. |

this is almost exactly what eve doesn't need. making fights last longer means that pilots have time to make decisions and potentially win/lose the fight rather than it just being rock paper scissors insta ganks.
add to that CCPs ambition to have modular targeting of ships which would add further strategy to a fight means that if anything fights will get longer, which will mean EHP will pretty much take over from active tanking completely.
as far as PVE is concerned, the general idea of grouping up is not to make something that can be done solo more profitable (they are already too profitable, but that's another matter) the point is to make things that are otherwise impossible, possible. and you will notice for the things that you need a fleet to realistically complete, incursions / high level plexes, the rewards are substantial.
As far as cmd ships go, the bonus' (possible exception being gallente) are very useful. and if you want to look at it in terms of how they can effect dmg output, specifically the resistance bonus' for caldari and amarr allow dps ships to tank less and therefore do more dps, either by dmg mods, or ewar like painters. etc. |

Actually, the more pilots (Damage per second) you have the more significantly you overpower the repairs on the target. So adding a second pilot that does just as much damage as you, means you will clear the site in significantly less than half the combat time.
How much less will depend on several factors. The lower the initial damage per player, the more significant the effect of adding more players. Missiles have travel time and focused fire on a distant target will result in lots of overkill that limits the benefit. Depending on what exactly you are doing, you may see benefit from a smaller ship focusing on small fast targets while someone with big guns goes straight for the distant battleships.
Then there's the ship fitting itself to consider. If you run with a buddy and you both fly ships that have a spare high slot, you can put a remote repair module in that slot. When he gets shot you stop your own repairs and repair him, and vice versa. This may allow each of you to switch a tanking module from your standard setup for another damage module. More damage from being in a group.
As for another form of bonus to a fleet.. I don't know that giving more damage to a large group of ships swarming a smaller group trying to put up a fight is what the game is in need of. |

I get what you mean... however when you fly using large ships like a machariel or vargur... you really don't care about the NPCs repairing and ranges and other stats become sort of meaningless.
For large battleships like a maelstrom, you need 2 shoots at most 3 to take down any ship with artillery at any range totally disregarding if they repaired themselves a bit or not.
The 4 marauders will take down large and small ships ignoring size differences.
And basically all the battleships can tank any lvl 4 mission so tank its just not a factor really.
On smaller ships it might help.
However what I want to encourage its more people flying togheter, I fly with my corp mates on low sec roams, and wh scouting and killing but when its time to run npc stuff, its basically a single player experience.
Maybe it can be made that defensive and offensive bonus are exclusive? if you have a dps field command ship, defense bonuses do not apply and vice versa?
and yes I believe killing faster when playing in groups would be a worthy reward for being more social and not a space hermit. |

see this is a good idea, tho the bonus will have to be of at least 25% at max level for DPS as to make it worth with such small number of pilots.

There should be things to prevent them from being used in incursions and missions. |

Incursions do not scale rewards due to amount of players, they forcibly require players to band up to run the sites which also by force require players to fly on pimped ships.
what I m proposing would actually allow true small gangs, 4 to 8 players run any kind of PVE content, not just incursions, and get some benefit from it. you know like missions, anomalies, sleeper sites, hell skiff mining operations, you know how much ehp those ******* barges get? |

I came expecting a request for a list of offensive names seen on Command Ships, left dissappointed. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |
