New patch, new version number, new feedback and issues threads you will completely ignore? Statement on behalf of CCP from Arnar Hrafn Gylfason, Senior Producer for EVE Online. Good communication and trust between CCP and the EVE community has always been a fundamental priority for CCP and will continue to be so. |

This patch note caught my interest:
Quote:In some cases it was impossible to undock in heavily damaged ships if only skills kept the ship alive. This will no longer occur. So, this means, up until now, leaving the ship and your capsule to enter your quarters held such a badly damaged ship together magically (in contrast to leaving the ship while in space)?
What about extending this and combining it with the hangar view? If you are about to leave this damaged ship to enter the quarters, you see a nice light show and a blinking wallet icon, as the station owner fined you for littering
(I know, just a nearly-pointless nice-to-have and should go to features and ideas - but it was a fun thought) I'm a little freighter - short and stout; This is my cargo, this is my route. When I get a lock-on, I scream and shout: "Light up a cyno!" and jump on out. |

As far as I know, yes.

I hope CarbonIO won't bring more problems than it tries to solve. But this being an EVE patch, I'll still put a very long skill in queue. New core technology rollout record track isn't exactly what CCP is praised for.
The auto data upload in case of crash feature should REALLY be explained better. Which data is uploaded? Toward where (you know - to open IP/ports in a very strictly firewalled environment like mine)? What technology this upload relies on? Is the data payload encrypted? Will you accidentally something when uploading it? Will you accidentally upload the content of my email contact list, and mysteriously all my contacts will receive an email offer to join EVE three days after my next crash?
Not that I don't trust (a little) CCP here, but you're still on parole, for me. I like your game, I liked CCP Hellmar's apology and the new road ahead. But I hope you will understand if I don't exactly like to give you my home keys before at least knowing what you'll be doing with them...
For the rest, thank you for your effort. o7 << THE RABBLE BRIGADE >> |

The patch notes have not been updated to include the new crash reporter.
Anything else getting in there as well?
Hopefully, once the patch is ready and you know what got done in time, the notes will get updated. CCP employees should never proclaim a feature to be awesome. Only subscribers should. |

It's all depends if Auto Data Uploader (ADU) will create separate thread for CPU. If answer is yes you can get standard popup window that ask you to allow that connection to be done. If answer is no ( ADU is running in current Eve thread ) then your firewall don't even notice that something new is going on. In both cases i doubt that manual port enabling will be required.
Why it should be better explained? Your client, accounts, all characters are CCP's PROPERTY. They may give you that info but they don't have to.
