Edited by: Naomi Wildfire on 19/08/2005 17:44:43 Hello,
I lost my Arnageddon in a battle because i couldn't escape. But it was half as bad as it actually was because i got my insuranse ... i thought. I was very suprised to see that it expired without a warning message. A few minutes ago and i got 3 warning mails that my insurans expired, for about 20 days ago.
If i could have read this in time, i had surely updated my insurance, but i never got a chance to do that :(
I think its a possible bug. Dont know if its the right forum or if there's a better way to tell. I hope you give a respond

Well. In situations like these you should probably petition and/or file a bug report. Hope this sorts out for you.

Actually these mails only come through when you click on the insurance tab in a station.
I *think* its up to you to remember to renew. Try petitioning though. Just because it's been broken forever doesnt mean its right.

Maybe when it gets fixed they'll add the type of ship that was insured as well. I'm not about to go through every one of my ships to find out who's insurance expired

Well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you open the "Insurance" tab in the station you will see when you insured the ship, for how much and when it expires.

Yes, but if you have a ton of insured shis and ton that aren't, and they're at different stations, like I do, it can be a pain when you just get a message with a long, semi-meaningless number on it. There's no way to tell which particular of your many ships have lost insurance in this way. If you only have one or two at a station, it's no problem, but for dozens like I have, it's a big waste of time.
How hard is it to add the ship type, or preferably name, to the mail? I mean, it's in the DB somewhere, because if it goes boom you get the correct amount. So just add the type.
