If there were no Paradise, it would be necessary to create one
The Destiny Foundation is elated to announce its intention to found a corporate republic on a currently undisclosed planet in Federation space. Titled the Serene Respubliko of D'estinia, this nation will not only serve as a support headquarters for the Destiny Foundation, but stand as a model for what we want to achieve in the long-term through our ongoing philanthropic endeavours. We continue to be funded by 99% of all profits brought in by Anette Inhonores and her associated brand.
D'estinia will be founded on three core pillars; education, health, and technology. To us, it is the pursuit of excellence in these three areas that stands as the highest ideal of the Destiny Foundation. We acknowledge that this is an immense goal to see fulfilled across the hundreds of worlds currently inhabited by humans, but this only serves as a boon to our efforts. Humanity has only advanced through perseverance and persistence, and we believe it is in the Gallentean spirit to challenge the status quo.
May the saying 'children are the future' never grow old, for this is the core to the D'estinian belief system.
Education
Education is knowledge, and knowledge is the key to understanding. Only through the pursuit of knowledge may we come to understand each other and, in turn, hope for interstellar peace once more. The Destiny Foundation already seeks to improve access to education across dozens of poor Federation countries, by first and foremost improving access. This may be via the provision of textbooks to underequipped schools or even the development of AI teachers to supplement an absence of qualified individuals. With the founding of the Serene Respubliko, we hope to take this one step further.
The D'estinian Institute for Advancement in Education (DIAE) will be founded as an accredited university to write, print, and publish textbooks to be made available to planetary societies in need of study material. More importantly, DIAE will offer to train prospective teachers with official teaching qualifications to take back to their communities of origin. The Destiny Foundation will completely subsidize the provision of textbooks and the training of teachers. DIAE will also serve as an academic institution for students across New Eden, offering reasonable tuition fees for those from well-off backgrounds, and bursaries for the less-than-able.
DIAE will use the Caillean education system, though in its research of educational theory will consider the applications of other academic approaches. We are notably looking at Caldari techniques with regards to vocational level education.
Health
Even in the presence of opportunity, it is often the case that physical affliction and ailment hold individuals back from seizing their destiny. With the D'estinian Holistic Health Academy (DHHA), we hope to supplement our ongoing medical aid programs with an accredited university hospital. DHHA will research, develop, and manufacture medical supplies as provisions to communities afflicted by illness or disease. Indigenous populations across New Eden often suffer from illness brought on by off-world colonists, and we hope to develop vaccines for these groups in addition to others.
The Destiny Foundation believes that the complete wellbeing of an individual is more than simply a case of physical health. DHHA will study methods of therapy in sports and music, to be applied by Destiny Foundation volunteers in our healthcare programs. Potential applications of alternative forms of mental health will be another pursuit of the DHHA. We believe the healthy individual is a happy individual, and supporting all needs of a patient is key to this end.
As with the DIAE, the DHHA will also accredit talented individuals from poor Federation countries and other planetary societies to become doctors and nurses, in the spirit of self-reliance and -improvement. Again, the Destiny Foundation will completely subsidize prospective medical students.
Technology
Social technology such as GalNet has proven time and time again to reduce barriers between peoples and encourage understanding between groups and individuals. Assistive technology, too, has been able to supplement areas of societies which, for some reason or another, remain deficient. The Destiny Foundation believes that not only can technology assist individuals in relieving the burdens of everyday life, but can empower them with the means to aim for new heights.
The D'estinian Center of Technology (DCT) will develop and manufacture personal computers with GalNet access for distribution to community centers and schools in poor communities free of charge. A child with access to a cluster's worth of information can only aim higher. Bringing children together regardless of planet of origin is important in the pursuit of a cosmopolitan cluster. DCT will also develop solutions in artificial intelligence, especially AI teachers for communities without access to qualified educators. AI solutions will also be provided to poor governments in need of working and effective bureaucracies.
The Destiny Foundation is aware of heteronormative social orders that exist on many planets in New Eden as a result of poor infrastructure and conservative cultural practices. Specifically, the limitation of females to domestic duties is an unfortunate circumstance that we believe can be challenged. However, we do not condone the upsetting of the socioeconomic balance in the pursuit of equality. Instead, DCT will establish temporary training centers in these poor communities to train housewives and young girls (as well as any other group in need) in manufacturing their own technological solution to aid their domestic duties, such as housekeeper drones.
This is the ideology. Details regarding the infrastructure and political system of D'estinia will follow. |

For a second there, I thought I'd go make a humorous reply about how obviously this sounds like the scrapheap of a 'nation' Kuvakei tried installing a hundred years ago.
But I'm glad to see it's so painfully obvious that everyone else already pointed it out. I used to jest about you being a closet Sansha loyalist when you pointed out I'm an Angel, mr. Inhonores. Maybe I wasn't so far from truth, hm? - L. C, Domination Malakim .stillwater |

While i would jump on the "Seriphyn is turning into Sansha" band wagon it would be in poor taste considering Mr Inhonores unfortunate past with regards to Sansha's Nation.
instead ill ask how you manage to convince the Federation to allow you to establish this "Republiko" of yours considering the Federal navy found you to be psychologically unfit for service let alone be in charge of a colony. -á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á-á "Let Vigilance Be Your Sword" |

Ninety-nine percent of the colony's funding will come from a sole provider. The sole provider is neither a manufacturer nor a services provider, but a single juvenile whose income stream seems in the main skewed toward retaining positive public attention.
I will now step back and permit the economists among us to discuss the viability and long-term stability of this colony financing model. |

As pilot Fauconnier already indicated, one hopes that a significant fraction of the colony funding referred to will be used to bootstrap its economy, as opposed to smothering its society in charity. Also, as a minor quibble, you mentioned "heteronormative social orders" while apparently referring to the subordination of women. It would probably be more correct to refer to this as "patriarchal."
Beyond these concerns, I wish you and the Destiny Foundation success in this grand social engineering venture. May it enrich the lives of many. Ancestors bless and good fortune. |

Thank you for all of your comments. The original release has been updated with information regarding the infrastructure, government, foreign affairs, military and economy of the Respubliko. Doubts about the economic model of D'estinia are likely to be answered there.
As a personal aside, I must admit I am confused by the references to Sansha's Nation. Attempts at 'utopia' (although I would be reluctant to class D'estinia as one) have taken place throughout history. Indeed, the idea of highly-educated democracies is not an alien one in the Federation, and it has been romanticized by the great thinkers of Gallentia for thousands of years. Sansha Kuvakei was not the 'inventor' of the concept, not by a long shot. |

^This. What makes you think your daughter is up to the task of running your "Republidisco" when shes just 13 and her father is psycologically unfit to be in the Fed Military let alone Colonel-in-chief of a country. We all know who will be the mouthpiece behind her.

I reiterate that any aristocratic title held by Anette Inhonores will purely be ceremonial in nature. All political power will rest with the Consiglio della Respubliko.
The medical evaluation leading to my dismissal from the position Federal Military was an assessment purely for that position alone. It does not pass judgement on the viability of myself holding positions in planetary militaries. |

I know, right? I mean, fathers all over call their daughters "princess", but I've never heard of anyone actually making their daughter a princess. Very heart-warming! This entire thing is pretty heart-warming, as it keeps a peaceful future (and the children) always in mind.

You are such a disgrace to your people, I've met plenty of Ammatar, and the majority was very sound, respectful and rather intelligent.
You? A petty little woman with a tendency to whine and try to make smart jokes based on completely miss-representing history in so many different ways that, if it was not so... well, petty - then it would be hilarious.
For you Seriphyn, keep ignoring these fools with to much time and to little respect and do what you do. You are doing a great service to a great deal of people and no-one should be allowed to dissuade you from this path.
