A measly 16% of my skills by number are at level 5 (I train virtually every skill I am able to train to a minimum of 1).
As a percentage of skillpoints, level 5 skills make up 63% of my total.

Just want to make sure I answer this correctly
OK 56% of my "Skill Points" are skill points needed to get to lvl 5. Currently only 31% of my "Skill" are trained to lvl 5. 35 of 112.
How did you get our 95%. To be fair I think you have to - the skill points it would take to get to lvl 4 from the total at lvl 5 If I don't take out the skill points to lvl 4 my skillpoints in lvl 5 skills is 67%

Out of 147 skills: 54 @ lv5 = 37% 50 @ lv4 = 34% 32 @ lv3 = 22% 11 @ lv2 = 7% none @ lv1/lv0
I can't seem to get the % by skillpoints summarized from ECM and I'm not gonna calculate that by hand ...

I think the OP was asking how many of your skill points are in skills that are trained to lv5, rather than in training level 4 to 5.
So yes, you can never have more than a certain % of skills tied up in training lv4 to lv5, but if all the skills you have are at lv5, then 100% of your SP are in lv5 skills.
Mine, btw are lv - # (%) - SP (%) lv0 - 2 (2.2%) - 10 (0%) lv1 - 31 (34.8%) - 17,256 (0.2%) lv2 - 12 (13.5%) - 60,741 (0.6%) lv3 - 11 (12.4%) - 355,693 (3.6%) lv4 - 14 (15.7%) - 1,221,888 (12.4%) lv5 - 19 (21.3%) - 8,192,000 (82.8%) tot - 89 (100%) - 9,888,207 (100%)

Tripoli! Heh...yes, elementary...but, um, edit your answer for a slight typo?...
Originally by: Tripoli I'm up to 33.3 million SP now, but with only 102 ranks of level 5's, with an average level 5 skill rank of 1.789. I have 219 skills, 28 of which are under Spaceship Command. Only 3.5% of my level 5 skills are in the Spaceship Command catagory, which includes 11.4% of my total SP. 78.4% of my skill points are invested in level 5 skills. I cannot use 3 strip miners at once, nor can I fly Logistics cruisers or heavy assault ships. The names Aritcio, Uriam, and Catiz carry suprising significance for me despite my Gallentean ancestry. Which Spaceship Command skills do I have trained to level 5?
Hmmm...now that's a bit more difficult. SSC level 5 skills of 3.5% of your total level 5 skills would be 2 SSC skills of 57 total. 11.4% of your total skill points would be about 3.8 million skill points in level 5 SSC skills. The names you mention would suggest a preference for Amarrian hardware. I'm having a hard time coming up with two SSC skills which total 3.8 million points at level 5. I'll guess that you have 3 SSC skills at level 5: SSC, Amarr Battleship, and Heavy Assault.

Aww. You were so on the right track, but my ambiguous wording of the statement "Only 3.5% of my level 5 skills are in the Spaceship Command catagory, which includes 11.4% of my total SP" threw you off. Allow me to clarify: my Spaceship Command catagory, in total, includes 11.4% of my total SP (not just the level 5s). You are not to blame for this error, as it was I that should have worded it better; however, you did make one mistake. I stated directly that I cannot fly heavy assault ships.
You can try again, or if you give in I'll guide you through the rest. ---

Ah, yes...short-sided of me. I thought about both interpretations of the wording, but ran the wrong direction. If I had been more thorough, I would have noted that you specifically stated that you don't fly Heavy Assault, which would have redirected my train of thought. I'll blame my error on last night's Margaritas
OK...I'll try again. You have 28 of 36 available SSC skills. You don't have any of the Dreadnaught skills because they each have 3 level 5 prerequisite SSC skills and you only have 2 level 5 SSC skills. There are 4 other SSC skills that you don't have. Five other skills have 2 level 5 SSC skills as prerequisites, and you have one of these skills: Capital ships and each of the 4 Freighter skills. The references to strip miners, Logistics ships and Heavy Assault ships are non-essential information.
One of your level 5 skills is Spaceship Command.
The names you mention are first names of Amarrian characters, hinting at a preference for Amarrian hardware. Many players look to the Bestower as the best quick solution for high capacity hauling...we still sell lots of them ourselves...so it would follow that you first trained the Amarrian Indy two and a half years ago. A logical extension of this would be Amarr Industrial level 5, leading to the Amarr Freighter skill...the quickest freighter skill for you to get first as a skill collector.
Thus, your 2 level 5 SSC skills are Spaceship Command and Amarr Industrial.

Bravo!
I loved the reference to why I trained for the Bestower two and a half years ago, though it wasn't the actual reasoning for training for the Providence. I was actually a level farther in Gallente Industrial when I decided to go for Amarr Industral levels 3-5. Trained for the Providence because it's the best looking of the freighters. The Obelisk is just so ugly. ---

LOL! The hauler on our mining team is training Caldari Indy from beginning to level 5 to get the Charon even though she already has Gallante Indy level 5 for the same reason. (plus perhaps for a bit more capacity)
Edit: I apologize to Asnar for going a bit off-topic with the last few posts
