hello CCP just needed to ask
wtf is with the undock cams?
every time i undock my camera is facing the station and not open space. im not sure if his is a thing you intentionally put in or what but its a little inconvenient!
shouldnt the camera face open space and NOT stare at the station when you undock? i think it might be a bit more convenient, especially for pvpers and traders.
whats with that? |

The camera would be inside the station model if it looked outward on undock. I support Malcanis and Psychotic Monk for CSM8. |

This is one of my pet peeves as well, the default camera angle points at your ship from front, and from behind like would be natural, logical, useful and normal.

This isn't what I thought the thread would be about.
I was thinking a camera you can check in your pilots quarters that shows what the undock area looks like. |

It's so much effort to rotate the cam. That's a whole half second, dammit!

i also find it a bit troublesome. esp if you are trying to right click to your imsta or safes right out of a station. those do not tend to be on overview . so yes that second of time can mean a lot in null. ~|~(~-á (~~|~-á-á -á |-á-á (__)-á-á-á |

It is a bloody awful camera position yeah. To the front left of your ship would be a welcome change. It would be far better than having your screen blotted out by the station geometry popping in every single time you undock and are trying to right click in space. |

It wouldn't as the camera would be located within the station model. Try that and see what you think but I doubt you'd find it an improvement in graphical terms
The client does actually remember the angle you choose for the camera on undock. Whether its persistant when you relog I can't remember but its certainly persistant across session changes and on different stations. Only reason I know is because I choose the same angle every time when checking whether an insta-undock is properly centred. |

Would prefer a "station cam", with the angle pointed back at the undock area, fixed at some invisible spot in nearby space... be nice to access the "cam" without undocking, too... because some hubs are just cluster****s worthy of L.A. gridlock status.

I personally like the undock camera view as it is. If you were just looking out into space it wouldn't look so cool. And as people have said you actually need to see where your going to warp there. Use the overview. "In the age of information, ignorance is a choice." |

Having the station fill your entire view presents a problem there. And the seconds it takes to zoom out or pan around can make a difference. Yes, I'm an alt. Congratulations. |

Actually it was quite cool, especially exiting the Minnie stations that have that exit tunnel. You rode out literally down the tunnel in a cool way. I miss it tbh. Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.-á-á-á-á-á-á - Oscar Wilde - 1870's |

Whoever uses InstaUndock bookmarks by clicking in space, does it pretty much wrong anyway, because he already wastes valueable time that way, instead of using P&P.
