I hope so, but a military official coming out of retirement to helm a ship doesn't sound like a peaceful act; if it was they would have named her a diplomat. |

The great thing about being a merc, you can say no when people ask you to go into a village and burn people alive. The only type of blood I'm spilling for this fight of bloated egos will be cloned a few moments later. |

You don't send a diplomat to your enemy until the military leaders have agreed to a cessation of hostilities. A diplomat handles political, economical and social arenas. Military arenas require military leaders. If anything, we should take this as a sign that the Caldari are preparing to make good on their promise if things keep pace. |

The military is the product of politics, if your military is off doing its own thing while politics goes in another direction; something is wrong and usually civil war happens or a coup d'etat. |

The esteemable Admiral maintained a fragile piece while commanding a Titan of war, shortly after it was used to conduct an act that was heard of throughout the Cluster, all the while surrounded by enemies who cried for blood and backed by extremists who wanted more.
I can think of no better commander for Shiigeru in these troubled times. |

Yes, the military should work in tandem with politics. The point remains, you don't send a diplomat in until the stage has been set for diplomacy. The current situation isn't a diplomatic one, it's a military one and until the military situation is calmed to a point that a diplomat will even be heard, sending one would be fruitless. We're sidetracked at this point however. |

You take a client's money to kill complete strangers who have done absolutely no harm to you. That makes you a *****, but one who provides death instead of sex.
That is the very definition of your profession.
To interject little moral highgrounds into your life seems a bit ridiculous. "Oh! I'll take your money and kill this complete stranger, but not -that- one. "

Fancy that. Wanting sanctions against Caldari who live on Caldari prime.
The Federation no longer controls Caldari prime, so you will have to take a rain check on concentration camps.

I hope she improves security aboard.
I have heard some rumors about Gallente ground force training hypothetical scenarios set on Caldari Prime that assume that the titan has been crashed into the surface of Caldari Prime.
This makes me very concerned about internal security on that ship. Amarr Victor, Deus Vult

The woman's statement was rather blunt. She apparently does not consider ethnic Caldari living on Caldari Prime to be "true citizens".
Such alienation is the first step on the road to atrocity.

That's not what I derived from her words and please do not mistake my exposition as support.
The catchphrase "any true citizen" implies that anyone unwilling to comply with the ultimatum is somehow less dedicated or deserving of recognition in the same group as the one making the statement. For example, "any true citizen of the Federation would bleed and die for the freedom and individuality" implies that anyone not willing to do so is not as true to the Federation as the one making the statement.
It wasn't so much a declaration against the citizens of Caldari Prime as a blanket call to echo her sentiments. |

Why would they Noir their homeworld? Unless you mean Luminaire the planet. I really doubt the Caldari would glass Luminaire in response to rebels on their homeworld. Besides, it'd remove the one ace in the hole they have against full scale war. They're holding the planet and using it to keep the Gallente at bay.
They loose the planet, there's nothing stopping the Fed. Hell, they GLASS Luminaire, that's giving the Fed reason to go full scale assault. Besides, I'm sure Fed Nav forces could cyno in if need call for it (DIRE need, like the titan targeting or moving toward Luminaire). But I really REALLY doubt they'd destroy the world they fought so hard for.
At least I hope they won't. I know a lot of people who love that planet as their home, people who won't get off it no matter what..

They may feel a need to have someone on the Titan who will obey harsh orders, if Roden decides to pull the trigger. Amarr Victor, Deus Vult

Sorry if I missed it, but can you confirm where it was Federal soldiers on Cal Prime and not local insurgents causing the damage? I'm not trying to be aggressive, just curious. I don't want to say something foolish without proof.

Wonderful. Were there no other qualified members among the Admiralty that could handle this task, or was it merely that Heth and his thugs had no one among the Admiralty they could trust to carry their orders out without deferring to the CEP's oversight? This is yet another ridiculous incursion of the political into the realm of the military, and there is no good way for this to end.
To the other members of the CEP, I beg of you -- now is the time to again take up the responsibility that you forsake five years ago and bring this sad chapter of our history to an end. You cannot continue to let this man and his mob continue to run roughshod over Caldari institutions, destroying what our ancestors built three centuries ago to protect us from the very same mistakes we are making now. It is your duty to do what is best for the good of the State. |
