Returning player from around Dominion patch. Looking to do some belt ratting/anoms in Providence(Sansha Rats) while figuring out which direction to go now that I am back. Which ship(fit helps too) is good/best while being relatively cheap (meaning CNR/Mare are out)? I was thinking teir 3 bc but they seem short on tank for anoms but not sure.
Have all weapons except hybrids to T2 and can fly: All BS All BC All SB All Cruisers All AF(except Gal) Min/Cal CS, HAC, T3(a little out of comfortable price range)
Can assume great fitting skills most to five except AWU 4 EGU 4 and Sheild upgrades 4 |

Tengu will be nice or legion...... but if they are expensive go for a BC.Oracle is also nice with tachyons u just need to keep range on them.

I've heard good things about the Tachyon Oracle as well, especially against Sansha. As been said above you need to keep range for tanking. Just warp to belts at range and you should be fine. |

In my time there i used a Harbinger with a classic pve fit, active hardeners set to Sansha damage type and a row of pulse lasers. With a mwd i'd land in a belt and just made my way to the rats. Tbh with the tediousness of ratting and anomalies its also about making it fun.
I used to rat in a stealthbomber alot to, doing belts ofc not anoms but it's very fun.
Generally it mostly depends on how you want to play it.
You can go cruiser like the ishtar (heavy assault cruiser) and the gila (faction cruiser), they use sentry drones for damage and mostly range for tank.
You can go Battlecruiser, any bc will do with specific hardeners and EM ammo. Doesn't have to be cap stable with everything running, as long as it wipes everything out before you get into trouble yourself. With the recent change you might want to check around for superior fits for pve.
Tier 3 battlecruisers are good to. I do not have a lot of experience with them myself but they are generally long range sniper platforms. The oracle with tech 2 tachyons would work well versus Sansha. Range is your tank.
You can go Battleship, properly fit you can do even the hardest anoms and easymode belt rats. With a price, they are slower, are harder to fly around null and easier to scan down with combat probes. Ofc if you have good intel this wont matter.
Navy battleships are good to. Upgraded as they are from their regular counterparts. A bit more expensive but these days not all that much. Very good upgrade from normal bs's.
Strategic cruisers. Probably the best thing to fly for null sec isk making because of multiple reasons. ( If your skills are **** do not fly one )
Sig radius is very small, adds a lot to tank. They can both have a giant amount of dps and a brick of a tank with good range on their weapons. Downside is you need pretty good skills to fly one. PROPERLY.
Simple tech 2 fit isn't all that expensive and is very effective but like most people will tell you here, and in other channels is that they shine brighter when you pimp them. Faction mods, deadspace resists and reppers turn a good ship into an unstoppable machine. But that is a choice you will have to make for yourself. |

While the tracking disruption makes using a turret ship a pain standard hubs don't have any TD rats so any Amarr BS will tear through them. The Abaddon just does more DPS than any HAC, T3, or non faction/pimp fit ship:
[Abaddon, New Setup 1] Large Armor Repairer II Armor EM Hardener II Armor Thermic Hardener II Reactive Armor Hardener Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II
Heavy Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 800 Stasis Webifier II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II
Mega Pulse Laser II, Scorch L Mega Pulse Laser II, Scorch L Mega Pulse Laser II, Scorch L Mega Pulse Laser II, Scorch L Mega Pulse Laser II, Scorch L Mega Pulse Laser II, Scorch L Mega Pulse Laser II, Scorch L Mega Pulse Laser II, Scorch L
Large Auxiliary Nano Pump I Large Auxiliary Nano Pump I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
Hobgoblin II x5 Vespa EC-600 x5
Web and light drones to help kill annoying close range frigs, ECM drones to maybe escape a random lone hostile, a few cap mods to help conserve cap booster charges, and tons (700+) of burst tank vs Sansha. Sansha battleships orbit at 49km or closer so the 730 DPS from guns at 45+10km range works perfectly. |
