Here is a pretty cheap, but effective Rupture ship I have been playing with for a bit
HIGHS:
4x Dual 180mm autocannons, 2x Small Nos
MID:
1x MWD, 1x Scrambler, 1x Webber
Low
1x 1600mm Plate, 1x Small Armor Rep, 2x Harders, 1x Reactor Control Unit
It works pretty well to kill BS miners/large barges/things that don't really fight back :P
thoughts?

you mean the kind where you attack someone with a more powerfull ship than they have? or the kind where you attack while outnumbering your opponent with HACs?

heh - i think its just cos they are mining he is counting them as carebears

1. carebear is state of mind. It can be 0.0 miner and is carebear. Belive me, i can report that first hand.
2. instead of hardeners i'd use dmg mods, but that is just me.

use an 800mm plate if you come up against a plated rax ul die anyway, but least with the 800mm plate you'll have the armour of the standard HAC and ul have some spare pg to play with.

That's a pretty common setup for a rupture, and it can (and HAS) taken a plated rax :)
Just go for his drones while keeping him at bay, it's a VERY tough fight, but it is doable!!

just go for pure gank sniper setup - it works great in all situations
1400mm howies
sensor boosters in med slots
damage mods in lows
add 2 WCS if you want to be safe. You'll insta kill miners before they can initiate warp

It VERY tough fight i had my ceo in a rupture go for a plated rax kill the rax's drones first and i was in a t1 frig, unfortunetly the drones just dont die quickly enuf for you to kill him off, even tho i was shooting his drones aswell.
Its alot down to luck id say if your resistance is higher with the same dmg of drones then its doable other than that im pretty much 99% sure you wont beat it.

update:
w00t this set up is pretty nice, i got 1 phoon, and a few large mining barges. only bad thing about it is it is unable to track small drones up close, but you can more than tank the dmg they do to you.
i did try mod it a bit and put on 800mm plate with 4x 425mm autos, and replaced the PDU with a cap charger, much better dmg and you can keep your tank up alot longer when slaughtering drones ;)
EDIT: nahtoh- did i kill your alt or something ?

If tracking is your issue perhaps you could kill the drones if you were flying a muninn

no tracking heavy drones is fine, it wtfbbqs them, just the light drones, but then again as i said they do so little dmg that you can more than tank them
and yeah, that quote is teh funny
