For years I have enjoyed the game through Eve News24 and have the honor of being part of what I call GÇ£fun multipliersGÇ¥ of the big EVE Online and offline experience. Today the time has come for me to step forward and serve as a bridge between the players and the developers in a effort to make EVE Online a better game for us all.
I wonGÇÖt write walls of texts this time, IGÇÖll just keep it simple:
Why I have decided to run for the CSM8:
- First and foremost I love EVE Online, DUST 514 and I want to see it improve.
- To bring a fresh and different face to the Council of Stellar Management.
- I have extensive experience interacting with the player base and deep understanding of the inner workings of the game and the interplayer relationship.
- I have an understanding of the internal culture within CCP Games which will be useful during my tenure.
- Whilst being just 28 years old, I have 14 years of professional experience in the design and creative field, which will translate to an out of the box approach to issues.
- I have no GÇ£pre-conceptionsGÇ¥ of how the game should be played, I understand that there exist different type of plays which fits to different kind of players.
- I am in debt with those who believed in my platform last year and I wish to deliver.
About myself
A 28 years old creative / art director for an internet television portal for latin america, I also run a myriad of information related sites which include Eve News24 (the only english lang).
A few years ago I decided to bring the vision of a different offline experience to the rest of the EVE Online players, this effort has certainly paid off. There is so much I can do to enhance the player experience without having a more direct contact with CCP Games. In short, I have decided to run because I enjoy the game and believe I can work together with other delegates to make it better.

I can't find it in me to endorse a candidate who published a botting guide on his news site.
Not to mention his extreme willingness to let his biases inform his relationship with the truth.
Not recommended. We can do better than this for the CSM.

Given the amount of vitriol direct at Rivereini and his site by large parts of the EvE community I was genuinely surprised to see this post. I was not expecting to see him run for CSM.
From a personal perspective I could not endorse someone who lacks objectivity, from the articles I have read on EN24 he has a very subjective view of the political landscape of EvE. This does not bode well for a CSM candidate.
Malcanis for CSM8, Its about damn time.

Not voting, it is clear he will be unable to work with the other CSM because his incredible fixation to some of the player organisations.
Also last time his agenda was more or less "Panties in Stations" WiS crap, I doubt much has changed. |

We all thought CSM 6 was a war crime with it's massive Null Presence
CSM7 topped it by selling out our Council to CCP, don't let it happen again. Vote or next time Incarna is your fault.

It's not so much the bias, it's more said site's complete lack of regard for facts and the English language.
Both of those are quite important considering the CSM rep's job is 99% communication. |

Ok I just listened to your crossing Zebras interview and I still have no idea how you would like the game to change specifically.
I heard conflict drivers and bug fixes but that was about all.

While I wouldn't have done the same, I don't think Riv can be blamed: CCP has shown on multiple occasions that it stays blind to certain problems until pressured by publicity to do something about it. |

Agreed with the two others. Just because the other 30 haven't been campaigning before the elections, doesn't mean they haven't been around. To say that a guy like Malcanis for example hasn't been here on the forums giving his input is downright moronic and just shows how clueless you are Riverini, or to say the same about the various WH candidates who have all been active in the community they represent, or the others for that matter. In fact there are very few candidates who truly came out of the woodwork, and pretty much all of those who did do just that, never made it to the final round.
In other words, anyone who thought about voting for him, just take a moment to think about what he's saying about that. He does not care about looking into the other candidates, he does not care that they're active in other ways than running a news site like he does, all he cares about is himself. If he's so out of touch with the communities he's supposedly going out there to represent, what makes you think he'll be any better in the actual CSM. I'd put a -1 here but I guess that's not really accurate at all as it was never a +1 in the first place. |

I know you hate him with all your bitter (and that is an awful lot of bitter) but I actually quite like Mittens, even though goons are paying cloaky campers to afk in our ratting systems right nowGǪBut thatGÇÖs another story.
The simple fact here is that The Mittani creates content, he creates news and he raises the profile of EVE to the general public via the medium of the Goons and their crazy internet spaceship antics. People who have never played EVE have heard of him. ThatGÇÖs a great thing to have I think as it does attract new players.
He genuinely does want to see the game improve it seems, so I probably would have had him on my list had he ran again. Sadly he didnGÇÖt.
I'm not even going to comment on comparing EN24 and TheMittani.com. If you fail to see (through choice I assume) the vast difference between those sites then, well, :bitter:

As an extremely new player in the Eve universe I will admit I am naive to a majority of Eve subjects.
However leading up to subscribing, I had found EN24 by my own means and it ended up becoming one of the big influences in my decision to join through reading its articles. Therefore I give credit (as I don't think I can vote) to Riverini for presenting me with my first look of Eve online without which I would possibly not be here. |

He has a complete grasp of the English language and grammar.
