'Harry Potter's' Uncle Vernon, Richard Griffiths, dies at 65
Quote:Griffiths appeared in dozens of movies and TV shows, but will be most widely remembered as a pair of contrasting uncles GÇö the hero's grudging Muggle guardian in the "Harry Potter" series, and flamboyant Uncle Monty in 1980s cult classic "Withnail and I." Not terribly surprised, but sorry to see him go. Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

Saw this.
He wasn't exactly a spring chicken in 2001 when series started. There is much to be said in favour of modern journalism. By giving us the opinions of the uneducated, it keeps us in touch with the ignorance of the community.-á-á-á-á - Oscar Wilde |

He wasn't exactly a spring chicken in 2001 when series started. Age 65 at death. That would've made him in his early 50s then - not exactly a fossil, either. 65 is actually a little on the young side, too... Obesity kills. Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

It certainly doesn't help.
My whole family is cursed with bad cholesterol that builds up and breaks off real easily and I'm thinking he had something similar. For me regardless of what I do I will suffer a heart attack in my lifetime, not a matter of if but when. My dad has had 2, my uncle has had 3, grandmother had 3, and grandfather died from an attack at 67. My brothers and I have already been diagnosed with it.
He probably understood that he also had a ticking time bomb in his chest but he seem to enjoy living life for what it was and had fun doing what he did. Out of Pod is getting In the Pod - Join in game channel IG OOPE |
