In past i read that someone used it, but i cannot figure how can be fitted a dominix to be good for L4 missions. It's obviusly a great choise to rid off frigs and cruisers, but it's not a great sniper to engage BS's ( only 6 turrets and very small powercore). Someone tried to use it?

The Dominix is favoured by many pilots because it can sustain a full tank better than many other battles ships.
As to guns I personally would use 6 x Dual 250 II their damage mod is pretty low but because of the fast ROF the DPS is very close to 425 II's just shorter range and very nice tracking.
Also those 15 Heavy drones will make short work of pretty much everything.

I am using one with 350mm turrets and armour tank for some of the missions. Mostly the ones involving Amarr rats because of inherent EM armour resistance. My Dominix skills are not very good but I found this ship quite capable of doing lvl4 missions. It's faster than torp Raven when facing a lot of frigates and cruisers. And ammo costs are lower.
On the cons: I have problems with some sniping rats (ex. Duo of Death). They keep running away from me and I can't break their tanks without drones.

maybe i should explain better where i'm surpized:
Dominix have small powercore, so armour tanking ( 2 ar reps) + AB lives u with too few powercore to fit decent long range turrets.
I'm not an expert L4 agent ( actually i'm doind L3 to gain L4 agent), but as far i read, the key is to try to keep distance with an AB because there is not any hope to tank some missions even with 2 ar rep and 4 dedicated hardeners ( at least i read so).
So what's the tactic with a Dominix? 15 Heavy drones can kill almost any BS, and with dual 250mm support u can keep a good dammage, but coming close to multiple NPC Bs's take time and there no hope to tank all dammage so domi will be dead before to be able to kill most of NPC bs's, or not?
Any suggestion will be realy aprecyated.
I'm asking that because i have Good drone skills and Gallente BS 5, and i'm triing to find out how ( if ) dominix could be a good L4 missions ship.

TNX !!! I'm doind ammater missions so also i'm fighting mmany times against lasers! Can u give a some hints on correct setup? ( example: 1 arrep +3 hardeners or u are using 2 ar reps? ), and some diminix tactic hint ( example: u are going close to NPC BS or not? )
tnx in advance.

This is just a suggested set up I usually fly a mega
6 x Dual 250 Tech II if possible. 1 x AfterBurner 4 x Cap Recharger
2 x Large Armour Repairer 1 x EM Hardner 2 x Termal Hardner 2 x PDU (Gives 15% effective Cap recharge but you need the extra PG)
You should be able to run one Arounr Repairer all you guns and AB permanantly and the second Armour repairer sporadically.
With Iridium Ammo and Tech II guns you should have a range of about 28km and 40km wiht Thorium both with decent DPS

Tried a short range setup in lvl4 missions and it wont work because even with proper tank with 2*large T2 reppers you CANNOT keep up with the damage and you get pwned in under 1 minute
snipe with full gank setup and avoid extravaganza and practically all deadspace missions.
Gang up with a few m8s

Since 90% of all missions are deadspace, if u say "avoid deadspace missions", means simply that Domi cannot be used ... But as u see someone use this BS.
Any other suggestion on working setup?
