I've been waiting for almost a half hour to reconnect and I was ABOUT to warp...any suggestions as to avoid am emminent wait of infinity?

If it's any constellation I'm waiting on "Checking Navigation Systems"...man a newbie can get ****ed AND angry easily...

You can petition for "stuck" from the character selection screen (hit ESC, click Petition button), and they have a high priority queue for unsticking people. But if it's close to the reboot time (like it was when you made the post), and they're busy, they may just let the reboot take care of it.
Whining here doesn't do anything except maybe get you a warning.

Still stuck...I'll try that higher priority method and see if it works, but I can't even load a new character and get past "Entering Station: Setup Station..." at approx 80% of the loading bar. Seems like they're really backed up @ 14k people online immediately after reboot. Oh yea, the whiskey wore off sometime around 8 a.m. and I feel newbishly aware of my ventures last evening. Sorry to waste time making my own topic on Downtime Day...everyone else has me beat by complaining through the nite.

if your stuck, try petitioning. GM's usually help you within an hour (for me its always been 15-30mins)

Yep. Stuck gets taken care of pretty quickly usually.
