Been doing this on an alt for over a year but it seems like not many people know about it. Thought I would share.
Step 1. Get scan probes. Step 2. Go to level 4 missioning system. Step 4. Scan for drones and ships. (bs, bc, maurader, strategic cruiser) Step 5. Eliminate the hits with ships nearby. Step 6. Warp to the drones. Step 7. Scoop free drones to your cargo cause someone left them behind.
There are a ton of drones out in those systems just waiting for you to pick them up. Most systems have a few hundred drones. (yes not a typo.) A mix of T1 and T2. With reasonable scanning skills you can grab these and make some very quick isk.
Will you make billions? No.
Is it viable for new characters? Absolutely! Just need minimum scanning skills. |

While training up your scanning skills, you can go through the belts of miner busy systems and pick up abandoned T1 drones.
Edit: I also found untouched faction wrecks in belts twice now, got a low-grade slave implant on one, no less. Mining Overhaul Nothing changed since 2008. |

There is easier isk for new players, just ask in a mission hub to salvage wrecks. |

Not new. I was doing this two years ago. Pays reasonably well in places like Funt and Osmon.
edit: some people seem to think this is a low-paying deal. I'm not going to try to write a tutorial on how I did it, but after figuring out a solid system I was pulling 50-60 mil an hour back when I was doing this (note: you'll only be able to do this for maybe 30 minutes a day before it becomes less profitable as you catch up). Nothing compared to wormhole daytripping, but infinitely safer. Founding member of the Belligerent Undesirables movement. |

Pro tip: once you get your first billion, start manipulating market items. Set the prices, hit them hard, up then down, profit on one item on a boost, and crash another, then buy them up, see saw style :)
I have netted hundreds of billions doing it. |

Eve is about being a douchehammer.
Being good does not pay, I tried that, then i got scammed, became evol, now I control markets.
If you intend to play Eve being good, then you 1) won't go far 2) get bored easily 3) be tottally butthammered 4) whine in local / forums 5) demand nerfs 6) rage quit.
Which part of cold harsh universe storyline did you not understand?
The best thing any Eve player starting Eve shoudl do, is go out and just shoot somebody for the thrill, there should be a tutorial mission for that. Break them into the real Eve game. |

If you take Miilla's advice you will sit in Rens local trying to be 'edgy' all the time.
Better that you do what you want to and actually enjoy your time playing this game than worry about how optimal your ISK income is or whether you are 'doing it right' by other peoples standards.
Drone probing is a perfectly good starting career in Eve and shows you have the creative mindset to do well in Eve. Hone those skills and apply them to exploration over time. (a¦á_a¦â) ~ (my spaceblog) http://getoutnastyface.blogspot.co.uk/~ (a¦á_a¦â) |

Learn remote trading :)
Whilst you control markets in one region you can jump to another region gate into null or roam W for a week or few days and then return or use a trade alt.

I have located and pulled in countless drones. It's a good way to test up a probe ship.
A few weeks ago I scored 5 faction drones. \o/
As for making ISK, it's not a big winner really, but if you like finding stuff, your search for drones may also lead you to other things, like entire ships too.

I've found abandoned ships worth billions each, on multiple occasions, through probing. Something you won't do by trying to act smart on the forums or docked up in Rens. (a¦á_a¦â) ~ (my spaceblog) http://getoutnastyface.blogspot.co.uk/~ (a¦á_a¦â) |

I can find many ships worth billions in Rens :) The strange thing is, people give them to me for peanuts.
