Can anyone recommend standard ship-fits for orbital strike support? Are there any opinions on what would make the 'best' ship to bring to bear on the groundlings?
I understand that it is small turrets only, which really opens the doors to all ships.. but is the effectiveness of an orbital strike related to the number of turrets involved, or is it just one turret that is needed?

From what I have read, only the charge affects it, and the charges only come, so far, in S sizes.

I think what I meant was to ask if a T2 small rail gun would do more damage than a T1 small rail gun?
Also, does the OB consist of 1 strike for each turret? Would 8 turrets do more damage in on OB than a ship with 6 turrets?
I am not sure why I mentioned size. I knew that it was only small turrets. |

From the information I have, only the number of turrets affects the strength of the OB. And I think I read on another forum that CCP planned for destroyers to get bonuses for OB, or something to that degree. So, if you want to maximize the strength of the strike, just have as many of the turrets as possible loaded with the ammo. In terms of a fit, I have no clue, been away from EVE for RL reasons. |
