My guess is that people are speculating that Zydrine, as a 0.0 mineral, will be somehow made more valuable as part of the 'Industrial Rebalance' that will be part of Odyssey.
A risky path IMO. |

Depends at what point you bought in. Of course the higher it goes up, the riskier it becomes. I find it hard to look at buying Zydrine @ 800 a unit a very risky path. |

It is risky because they may not touch Zydrine at all, and just fiddle with Moon Minerals and Ice instead.
But I guess that you could just ride the speculative wave that this thread is propagating. |

It's not that risky because short term, BS tiericide is likely to cause a spike anyway. And anyone that bought at 800 is up almost 20% now already. Mynnna for CSM 8 |

Bah. 20% is for beginners.

If Odyssey includes changes to regular minerals (low ends in grav sites, perhaps) then it could make zyd and mega spike in a big way too.

Sell at 1200. Zyd will spike to just over, before plummeting.
Edit: Oh, and in answer to OP: speculation. Think more sustained rise in price will follow the winter expansion, though, as usual, I am most likely incorrect :) Happiness is a warm gun, mama. |

900 ISK is not a lot for Zydrine. I'm still buying Zydrine and I'm willing to sell at 1500-1700 ISK, in case anyone needs it in bulk.

Last night, I decided to take a serious look at Zydrine. I had not pay attention to Zydrine for a while, and because I have a huge stockpile of Zydrine, I was a bit worry about trading Zydrine again. After looking at the regional markets and seen how slow buy orders were filling in Jita, I decided that Zydrine is probably in short supply. I have no idea why it is in short supply, but some people suggested war, upcoming patch, pre-drone stocks depletion, etc. My experience with mineral trading is telling me that Zydrine is heading towards 1,500-1,700 ISK pu.
I wanted to do some aggressive mineral trading last night to push the Zydrine price into the 1,300 ISK pu. It is not my intention to sell my stock pile at 1,300 ISK, not even 1,500 ISK. My goal is to determine how fast Zydrine equilibrates at a new stable price.
In the last 12 hours, Zydrine sell price slipped down with most sell orders remaining above 1,250 ISK. The lowest sell order stands at 1,099 ISK. There is no significant volume between 1,099 and 1,250 ISK. In contrast, buy orders continue to rise and I do not expect a slow down since its becoming difficult to purchase Zydrine in large amounts. I would encourage traders to GÇ£re-priceGÇ¥ existing Zydrine stocks above 1,250 ISK.
Do not sell cheap. LetGÇÖs see how the weekend goes.

OHHH EMMM GEEE! Zydrine Overload! The word "Zydrine" appears so many times in this post it's turning me on.
With that said, I do agree with Block that Zydrine is a good investment, the re-balancing of battleships will make it skyrocket. |

Zrydrine is going to be the new technetium. Moon mining is getting a massive nerf, so high end minerals will be the new choke point. You think Zrydrine is bad, wait until you see what happens to Morphite.
Morphite mining will again be the isk printing activity it was 5 years ago.
Highsec activity will die off, and all players will move deep into null where the "real" game will be.
It was at this point when I suddenly woke up.
Was it a dream? Or a premonition? Or have I just been playing to much, and have EVE on the brain.
I guess time will tell. |

I'm not sure if the high ends will spike, but I strongly suspect that low ends will drop like rocks when the devblog with the NS industry changes come. An obvious issue with NS industry is you have too many ABC, and not enough low ends that use to be provided by the Drone Regions. As CCP wants to boost NS industry it makes sense they will boost low end ores in NS in some way. (Not that CCP always does what makes sense...) Bob knows what they will do with Ice, and moongoo, but Ice seems like a good bet short term. Former forum cheerleader CCP, now just a hopeful small portion of the community. |

TL:DR GÇô Odyssey
- Low Ends drop empire mining continues to be more than a respecti.
- High Ends Zyd at 2.8K - 3K, Mega 4.5K, Morph 12K (low ball)
*** My rabble*** I usually keep my posting to the Industry forums but I feel like its worth the time to chime in because not everyone in the game based their entire day of spreadsheets and there are so many more human factors that should be considered this time around.
First off there are only a fixed number of miners. Sure you can expect a spike of new people chasing some isk but the fact is some people like mining for the profession that it is, and some people are going to get bored again and wander back off to do other things.
Next, miners are industry guys and Odyssey is going to introduce some new and fun stuff to go try, does that wash the amount of new m3 being generated, probably for the short term. every mining checking out the new GÇ£scan-ableGÇ¥ stuff, thatGÇÖs 1-6 (donGÇÖt forget a lot multi-box) now pulling up m3 per hour in the Eve Universe. Is it moon goo, is it ice, is it more empire low ends, who knows I wonGÇÖt speculate even though some people claim to be trading on insider information. IGÇÖm a huge fan of wait and see.
That brings us to the rumor that CCP wants Null Sec to be more valuable and refining in empire takes a hit, while null sec alliances are drooling at the opportunity to pull miners into their Universe and get that tax revenue, many empire folks may choose to just take the refining hit and stay put on the low ends because so many of them donGÇÖt want the null sec drama or dare I say, not trust these people ( ). I feel relatively confident that any hit would be nominal or they will go back to veldspar and scordite because the fact is CCP realizes the empire folks are paying customers too and wait for itGǪ shocker hereGǪ CCP is a business. Nullsec finance managers might want to temper their expectations a bit.
That being saidGǪtaking non-spreadsheet stuff into account, thereGÇÖs no doubt that Zyd will go back up to 2K p/u, the real question will be is 3K the new normal? This really depends on what CCP will do with the grav sites next week, a while back IGÇÖve said the lowest hanging fruit for CCP in terms of fixing mining would to be get a two-fer by swapping out the high ends they added in the before the drone poo nerf with some monster packaged low end rocks or jack gneiss and jaspet around in a monster kind of way. IGÇÖm still willing to bet a couple drinks at fan fest next week that they make some move on this here but overall I donGÇÖt think youGÇÖll see it do that much damage to low ends because there just arenGÇÖt that many miners in null sec to hoover up anything near what empire produces. As a null sec miner, I'd like to be greedy but I realize CCP wants balance.
Add Tiercide stuff, new capitals anyone? No matter what way you cut it, miners are getting some respect. Big bets have already been made but I donGÇÖt think you could do poorly by making a few more bets. |
