Edited by: Trevedian on 20/09/2005 12:04:08 When I created my character back in 2003, all the gunnery skills had Willpower as the primary attribute, and Perception as the secondary attribute.
There are very few useful skills that use Willpower as a primary att.. Could the Dev's either create more Willpower related skills or create a feature to swap a limitied number of (say three)attribute points?(Hell I'd pay good ISK for this option)
I mean if the Dev's could just arbitrarily change the primary/secondary attributes of Perception/Willpowwer skills, they should give something back to the people that chose to follow what the manual says (Willlpower is important for Gunnery).

yeah i agree with you completely.Although assault and heavy assault ships do have willpower as a primary attribute which I very much like, there could be a few more. If CCP has no plans to bring out any mory gunnery skills then perhaps your idea of swapping 3 attribute points could be implemented

Yes but we actually did some research and planned our attributes at the time for the skills we wanted, then got shafted. I believe charisma has just always sucked .

Train the advanced skills in the areas you are lacking. Dont ask for a swapping of attributes, as the skills are in place in order to correct any inbalance, heck even fit some nice implants and get an instant attribute bonus.
It would be nice if CCP did make more "willpower related" skills, however it doesnt mean you should have the ability to change the make up of your character willynilly. Make an alt and train that one up, or... train up the skills required to make up for any deficit you have. 3 attribute points are going to make next to no difference to be honest in the grand scheme of things (even my will and perc is 3 points higher than my intel and mem I think but im not whining about it).

So i wonder why people complain?
Even as EW specialist I have to train lots of perc/Will skills. and the ammount of tech2 Will/Perc skills is getting bigger and bigger --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FWIW, also some of the trade skills have willpower as their primary attribute. ----- Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene 5, Moon 4, Duvolle Laboratories Factory. Ammo at affordable prices. |

"So i wonder why people complain?"
Not sure, really... well, i figure it might have something do do with willpower being secondary rather than primary on most of skills that use these, but the sheer amount of skills that use it makes high willpower very useful to have -- all of spaceship command, almost whole gunnery branch, all missile skills and all leadership... plenty important high rank skills in these ^^;;

Glad my top two attributes are inteligence and memory. They will never make Christma, willpower or perception your primiary artibute for enginnering. (or I assume, unless the devs somehow see charstima playing a major role in dismantling your engine)

Gonna bump this 'cause I also think it's ridiculous how willpower is pretty much consistently a secondary attribute. I thought "at least willpower has all of leadership" untill I checked again. Though this character is younger than my first, I do remember a time when spaceship command and gunnery skills primarily (in general) used willpower as main attribute. Now it's just nerfed, and there are about 1/3rd as many useful skills which use willpower as a main attribute than perception, or intelligence. People have been saying this since forever, and I guess we'll keep saying it untill we're heard. Gunnery should be returned to willpower, for the most part. Perception already controls a veritable assload of skills.

I think T2 weapons should follow the T2 ships model, so those would use Will as primary too. And, yes, I've already got a lot of T2 gunnery skills trained so I won't receive much of a boost
