Continuing the tradition of bait and switch, the navy apoc will get back the old apoc bonuses (keeping what it has basically). Mynnna for CSM 8 |

Do you even have idea what the OLD apoc was?
25% less hull capacitor...
BOnuses of 10% less cap on laser per level and 5% more cap on hull per level.
If you hope for that... you need to see a doctor...

I'll try to keep this civil, as it is very clear that English is neither your native language, nor do you have a comfortable grasp on using it;
The old, rather, 'current' Apocalypse bonuses, are a 10% reduction to Large Energy Turret Capacitor Use (50% at level 5) and 7.5% increase to the optimal range of Large Energy Turrets (37.5% at level 5). You can find this information by simply logging in and checking, or checking EFT, or any of a variety of database websites.
Nowhere on the ship, either the Apocalypse Navy Issue, or the current Apocalypse, is there a 25% hull capacitor penalty, a 5% more base capacitor per level, or any other 'hull capacitor' bonuses. Thus, you have either been reading some strange fanfiction, or have friends who lied to you.
As such, If the Navy Apoc has the bonuses off the old (current) apoc, they will be 10% reduction to Large Energy Turret Capacitor Use (50% at level 5) and 7.5% increase to the optimal range of Large Energy Turrets (37.5% at level 5).
What this means is you will have the regular tech 1 variant, with higher tracking, and the same range, as well as the Naval variant, with inferior tracking, much higher buffer, and amazing capacitor stability, enabling you to run a strong active tank with your weapons systems, and perform better in situations where you are being neutralized.
You're welcome. |

Sorry to tell you, but Kagura was right (although obviously trolling). The Apoc used to have a bonus to capacitor and laser cap use long, long ago. It got changed years ago to the range/cap use bonus we currently have and will be changed again to range/tracking with odyssey. Just think of how bad an average post by me is, and then realize half of them are even worse |

Why on earth would anyone want a tracking bonus on a sniper ship using beams which already have better tracking? |

Because with that speed, it makes an excellent attack boat. Scorch with the optimal gives it considerable dps in mid-range, while adding Blaster-like tracking to it. Essentially, the ship is the ultimate in damage application right now - and it's amazing to fly. |

Again why would you like blaster like tracking at mid-range given what you'll probably be firing at? I'm not saying its useless, well close to it, it just could have been replaced with something better...or anything. In the new description they stated they wanted to open it up to beam usage which already have a tracking advantage. |

beams have great tracking , but its still low as hell considering a battleship has trouble hitting anything less than a BC orbiting with MWD on at 20k. with pulses IMMA FIRING MA LAZAR!!! |

...and the tracking bonus won't make up that difference with beams. You won't hit anything you're currently having trouble hitting since it's 37.5% of an already small number. If you go over to the Amarr thread over on the BS changes, someone has done the math on the bonus and it is EXTREMELY situational and is only a slight dps bonus in certain situations none of which are "sniper" situations that the Apoc was designed for (with the range bonus and beams). A damage bonus and lower turret count would be beneficial in all situations and would give the Amarr a low-SP fitting and mission runner they're lineup is currently missing. |
