I see this and all I can think is less frustration roaming nullsec solo in my hound watching ratter after ratter warp off grid right as I land!
<3 thank you CCP for trying to bring back solo work!
On a related note I think the lower the true sec the more the npcs should use disruptors/webs/neuts. Making anoms more dangerous and difficult :D |

In the same regard, I will enjoy the ganker getting scrammed with the rat aggro switching instead of leaving in structure with my drones on him. |

Just going to point out that any decent ratter doesn't have much issue knocking out the scrambling rats quickly, and knowing which ones they are, however, I can see a LOT of dead ganking stealthbombers and the likes finding themselves dead when the rats switch targets (as they do OH so often now), and scrambling the stealth bomber, or whatever he's in, and quickly killing it, probably even before the ratter himself is dead sometimes lol.
OP, I think you are overestimating how helpful this is going to be to you, trying to solo pvp in something like a stealth bomber. The odd target tackled a little longer for you to get there? Probably. More of YOUR ships dead, because you couldn't break the targets tank, before the rats actually tackled you? Definitely.
Tackling rats are already a joke to kill, in the sites that do have them, the only thing this is going to do is change ratting kill priorities a little. |

Of course not. What is annoying is working your ass off to get in an anom with a ratter in less then 30secs when all they have to do is watch local and you get to watch them warp off :P

I'm also confident my bomber can kill the ratter before rats were to kill me. I'm hoping CCP doesn't just throw in a couple crappy frig scramblers that get blapped within 20 secs of starting site. We will see...

I live in wh space. I don't understand local and it scares me. I am bad and should feel bad. |

The best part of this post is that you don't realize it's actually going to make you die to anything you try to kill now, because they'll be set up for quickly killing frigates with 2/3s the sig of your bomber. Enjoy never killing a ratter again! |

Something I'd love to see?
Warp drives not working in deadspace (Except ewarp. that's always needed)
To get in and out, you'd have to use acceleration gates. Requires you to commit more. I'd put the gate out a distance away from both the 'action' in the room, and the landing point of the gate in. just to keep things interesting. As we speak, EFT wizards across nullsec are pouring over light drones and and light missiles and hulls that can fit weapons suitable against battleships _and_ frigates. People have asked for ratting to be closer to PvP combat, and that inevitably leads to ratters being more capable of defending against annoying frigates and using more well rounded ships.
And when gimmicky ratting ships that are only good at killing a narrow type of rat go in the dumpster, equally gimmicky stealth bombers meant to kill them will be next in the trash. Some people are just too used to a relatively cheap frigate that can punch well above its weight being a serious solo PvP machine that deserves to be protected as an important play style. It relies too much on players not being attentive and flying ships with too narrow a focus. |

If ratting was closer to PvP combat maybe it would be interesting
The 'gimmicky' bomber relies on carebears being carebears. Trying to get the most efficient isk/hour.

This may be the case. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what CCP actually does with the anoms... |

I hate "carebear" or any sort of "-bear" because it is more pejorative than descriptive. And when it comes to nullsec ratting, these guys are usually ratting to buy PvP equipment, so it isn't like they are just fundamentally against fighting. Matter of fact, these bomber pilots scream bloody murder as soon as the ratters stop ratting and blob up to catch them at the gates.
Current ratting is too easy to game because the type of rats and the damage they can do in a given anomaly is too narrow, which leads to people being able to run these sites solo with little attention.
The stealth bomber exploits this, but in doing so becomes a gimmick itself in the quest for best kills/hour, and they fail as soon as they come up against anything outside a narrow range of solo ratting boats. |

Elite frigs, which I think they mentioned, are fairly easy for experience paladin/nightmare/vindicator/machariel pilots to instapop, as long as they are prioritized as soon as their group spawns. Maybe CCP will throw a curveball, and set them to spawn on top of your ship, instead of static locations though? |
