Does anyone have any idea what the approximate SELL price of the Gnosis (New gift Battlecruiser) will be;
1 month, 3 months, 6 months after launch?
Thanks.....

So there's no indication of this will be a value item....
Gotcha.
Interesting how its possible to speculate on faction cruisers but not a limited release item :( |

Well right i'm wondering if i'm better off spending $150 on plex, or $150 on the collectors edition....If those ships are gonna be worth like a bill each the decision is clear..
Also, there is TONS of info available about GNOSIS, fitting is 6/6/6 omni resits for shields (4800hps) armor(5000hps) etc. etc. Weapon Damage and Warfare link bonsues....
Just google it... |

It has the makings of a solid battlecruiser, but as a jack of all trades, master of none, it doesn't look like it will be particulary over powered in any one role that would serve as a driver of demand. If I spend 1 bil on the hull, I will want to pimp it out to be better then anything else for my use of it, but it looks like there will still be better choices for every individual role. While the versatility is nice, it wont drive high end price. Its value will be as a collectors item, not for use. |

But not the necessarily info.
The info we have available for faction cruisers and battlecruisers is the LP cost and the cost of the other items necessary to make it. From that, we can determine what the cost is at a given value of the LP.
What we know about the Gnosis is every active account will get one and collectors editions will get an additional five, as a result of the bpc. But we can't even use the mineral requirements of the BC as a guide, because of all those free ones that could undercut that price. And likewise, the Gnosis is rather unlike other gift ships as they're either glorified shuttles (apotheosis and echelon) or basically useless (primae) so the price structure of those ships doesn't even really offer very much of a clue. So, we're reduced to guessing. For example, I would guess that 200m or so (the approximate cost of the faction battlecruisers) will be a reasonable price for awhile, until the ships start to get rarer.
But it's just a guess. Member of the Goonswarm Economic Warfare Cabal |

Faction BCs are not going to be limited supply and they have a base cost + associated LP attached to that. Gnosis however, is a limited offer gift and its a one of a kind ship. It is going to be a mostly collectors item. Even sales of CE wlll effect the prices. If CCP makes CE available for PLEX there will be much much more Gnosis BPC on the market, if not Gnosis will be much more rarer. |

When everyone got free genolution CA-1 and CA-2 implants they were cheap. Now they both sell for about 50 mil.
This gift ship looks cool, I can see it being a useful PVE ship as it will have a low chance of getting poped in high sec.
I assume just like every other rare useable item released, they will be really cheap at first while many players that could care less dump them for what ever they can get for them. But after a couple years when they get rare, they may be worth billions. It just depends how well they perform.
Look at the faction towers for example. The BPC's no longer drop in game. there is no way of getting a "new one" If you want one there are a limited number left in game and the price tag on them is huge. Zero new supply , but they are still significantly better than a normal tower. Thus the players who use them are willing to pay crazy prices for the few that are left. Also remember Quafe Zero the gift booster, they are worth over 6 mil a can now, if you can find any.
This ship could be the same. or if it sucks, nobody but collectors will want it. It all depends on how many of them are horded as collectors items, and depending on how good they are for combat, how many are actually used and destroyed. If they are really good some players will want to keep flying them, creating a demand that will drive the price up. If not the price they sell for in the first weeks may be the to price and it will drop as the players who want them fill their need. |

I think it's a pretty good assumption. The last 266 Popes have been humans, and I don't see any reason to expect the College of Cardinals to break tradition and elect internet spaceship pixels as the 267th. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

They wont get randomly suicide ganked for a long time unless they are pimped out. Even at a billion isk for the hull, the tears factored isn't really worth it when you can easily find, and gank for the same price or less, a tech 3 cruiser worth more. |

I also wonder if buying the pack is a good trade. I mean you get a 5xGenosis BPC. So are 5 Genosis fully built worth more then the price of the pack?..
The answer is who knows. Roll the dice and find out. You'll either be back here telling us how you killed it, or back here crying to me because I suggested it. Either way it adds a bit of fun and risk to the game doesn't it? |

It is wild ass guessing, but I'd say based on previous giveaway trends that it won't be worth a hell of a lot. Demand may be high initially, but once people mess with it the value will likely plummet and people will forget it exists. And as for it not being a gank target...
When I was back in suddenly ninjas we held a contest to see who could gank the most zephyrs when they first came out. The tears were *glorious*. This Space Intentionally Left Blank |

Meh disagree. All the limited run ships are worth more now than then.
I picked up a bunch in the hopes that once they become rarer they're value may go up. Time will tell, but makes sense to me. |

I made about half a bil with buy orders and sell orders in amarr on just the gnosis. I don't normally market PvP, so this was new experience for me.
bought them for: http://i.imgur.com/LVdLVVT.png sold them for: http://i.imgur.com/5Arz431.png
If they don't add any more of these after the BPCs that come with the collector's edition, I suspect they'll be quite expensive in a few years. Unlike most of the collectibles, this is actually a really strong ship, so people will want to use them and blow them up ;> |

I don't think they will cost much higher than the Navy Battlecruisers. Because if you look at the specs, the Gnosis isn't that great. |

They can't be insured, we don't know build costs, we can never be sure what CCP will do with 'limited Edition' and the BPC levels are not limited. They could sell a million collector's edition 5 run copies.
It is very much an OP noob ship but it could also become the only one noobs will ever need to fly. I don't know where CCP plan to take it. |

Yep, the main snag with speculating these things is you never know if CCP will announce another 500,000 of them as a gift.
CCP needs to label special edition items as 'limited' according to if they will only have 1 production run (like AT ships/guardian-vexor) or not. I felt bad unloading 50B of Genolutions onto unsuspecting traders who didn't catch that single Fanfest slide, but that's the game that CCP is playing with these items...
IMO, stay away, it's not worth the headache. I hear stuff is happening with moon materials anyway... |

I have around 45 and will continue to collect them, among other things. The reason they are good is they have even bonuses. unless you know a guy's fit, you cannot know what to expect due to the bonuses. This is why they will become a good ship for people to use whether solo or in large fleet doctrines. You can literally dock up, load a new fit to the same ship, and come out with your enemy thinking you have the same fit.
There will likely be some contests to specifically target these ships to reduce supply. Trust me... lol
Personally, I will continue to buy at prices under 250m isk. One day they will hit 500m or more consistently, just watch. See Bio for isk doubling rules. -áIf you didn't read bio, chances are you helped fund those who did. |

Now, in regards to concerns that CCP will continue to issue more, I doubt it and here's why. This is so far the only special edition battlecruiser. Instead of issuing more beyond the 5 run bpc's (which I doubt will sell millions), I bet CCP will start offering other versions in this class. See Bio for isk doubling rules. -áIf you didn't read bio, chances are you helped fund those who did. |
