Hi
Ive been reading true the forums for 4 months now and every now and than I see ship names like golden magnate, silver magnate and "impocs" I wonder what these ships are n what they look like... are there more of these Uber rare ships?
I understand that the only golden magnate got blwon up by m0o or sumtin but what id like to ask is if theres some footage of these ships.
screenies or maybe even movies... anyone?

Imperial Apocalypse (however the bastard who had the ship shield tanked it so the colors are a bit warped due to the shield hardener effect, nonetheless the Impoc is just an Apoc with a different skin (silverish) and better stats)

These particular ships were given out as prizes to the winners of the Amarr Championships held before I started playing IIRC. As a rough guess (ie far from accurate) there was only one Golden Magnate which was in fact destroyed. There were a dozen or less Silver Magnates (they are still superior to current Interceptors), most still surviving and one or two Imperial Apocs (Impocs).
You can get faction ships, such as the Worm, Ashimmu, Bhaalgorn, Navy Megathron etc, but the ones above are unique and unobtainable from any other source. The only other unique ships in-game I'm aware of are the Guardian Vexors, of which there were 50 BPCs handed out at an event around a year ago, but they're only marginally better than standard Vexors, thus not worth the price tag except to extreme collectors, while the other unique ships have clear advantages over the common, faction and T2 fleets.
There were supposed to be some Navy Issue Domis handed out for the Gallente elections event, but no idea what the deal with them is, or who if anyone has one of them. I don't think Navy Domis are available to mission runners, which would add them to the list of unique and unobtainable if so.

Nice looking ships :-)
It would be cool if every time one of these got destroyed, a bpc was released so there would always be the same number of these rare beauties flying around for us all to fall in love with.

Wish the Magnates were publically available. Such a beauty :) Maybe CCP could create Bronze Magnates as agent rewards :P

Right up untill they innevitably fall into the hands of people who will never risk them or people that later retire from eve and no-one will ever get a new one again.

For pirate faction ships, BPCs also drop in complexes of the same faction (e.g. you could get a Bhaalgorn BPC in a Blood Raider complex).

Adding Domis was to much work, instead Navy Megas where given out.

If they would have been given out in the election event they would have been availible to mission runners, since essentially the entire event was just mission grinding and had nothing to do with any kind of election.

There also is only 1 Federate Issue Megathron out there. It looks exactly the same as the Navy Megathron and Vindicator though.

The Navy Mega and Vindicator don't actually look the same. The Vind has a slightly brownnish huge to its colour and the green of the lights is different.

hmmmm. Come to think of it, I wonder why we havent had a new Amarr Championship? We have to replace the guy again dont we? So lets do it again and have a cool event with T2 ships compeating this time.

Have you compared the two in the same exact system and side-by-side? The sun color has a big effect on the color of the skin.

Silver amarr ships look so much kewler than the golden ones ^^
Oh tbw ive also seen Pics of another nice looking ship... Its in someones signature and also at the pic that garia posted in the fan submissions...Here to be exact.. Its the ship between the moros dreadnought and the obelisk freighter...
Is it the pleasure cruiser iv heard talking about?

trust me, i wouldn't argue with doc brown about gallente uber-rare ships 
what i wouldn't give for a caldari state raven or The Rabbit's Modified Rattlesnake
