So i was looking up an old thread and noticed TomB was Amarr and now he is Jove. So when/how and why?

iirc he had a jove portrait BEFORE he had that amarr one.

I'd imagine he must've, otherwise would't his portrait have turned Jove? (i could just be wrong in the head here)

He was always a Jove. He was infiltrating the highest orders of the Amarr empire in a bid to discover their secrets, which he managed to do by holding a piece of card with an Amarrian face printed on it over his own. _________

Put quite simply, he gets bored and swaps between the two every now and then. ------

Joves got such badass pics, wish I could be a Jove (their superior technoogy has nothing to do with it... really).

or,
he did it himself, then had some beer

Seems a bit sucky that he can change about like that. Not in-keeping with the game - like a really naff exploit that ruins the whole 'enjoying the game thing'.
Feel free to disagree. ----------------

The Jove portrait looked too much like him in RL and he kept getting asked for autographs so he changed to one that looked more like a sci-fi character.

OK he's a Dev, but if he wants to play around with his character, shouldn't it be done on the test server, or somewhere in space where no-one goes, so it doesn't interfere with the 'rules' of the virtual universe? ----------------

He does do it somewhere no-one goes - Jove space and the Polaris system. Tell me how many times you've seen TomB in space. ________

Once and I also reported him for being an imposter, we all knew TomB was ni-kunni, yet there he was amarr proper.

He makes the rules, or tells the GM's what the rules of today are. Devs are good/bad like that.

You petitioned TomB? And the mystery of why the Gallente got nerfed so bad has just been solved... ________

Wouldn't surprise me though, dev's are evil, mean, cruel, just a bunch of griefers really. Thats why all the pirates love them secretly.

Aww come on now. It's not like he gains anything from it, and he doesn't play the game on a competetive level, how could he or any of the devs? Besides, like all devs, he has all skills anyway because they are set up that way without having to train them. Is that a bad thing too? They do need to test things you know so don't take this too serious. It's not like suddenly becoming a jove gives him something that he didn't have as an Amarr anyway. ------

he changed due to a mishap in a experiment involving a rubber band, a pot of superglue, an plasic model kit, a junior scientist chemistry set and a large bottle of jack daniels.
nobody knows how it happened but i think they should do a special X-Files about it.

well I don't think it is, it adds a face to the jove I;ve also heard he likes to bust out his jove battleship from time to time and go for a wonder, it just adds soemthing extra to the game.

Of course the Jovians are watching us. With their advanced technology, do you really think that they can't change faces at will? They are among us - so take a close look at your fellow corp members...
