Hi, I was wondering why my security rating is not accurate as I added up all of the different additions (there were no subtractions) and I should have a sec rating of 1.03 but instead I have .4? anyone know why this is? is there some formula I can use to calculate actual sec bonuses?
Thanks, Spartan _______________________________________________ Member - [CHRST] Christian Fellowship Foundation

I checked, but it is showing addtions like this:
Security status gain .04 security status gain .05 security status gain .0375
And like 50 more of the same.
Perhaps the game is just writing it wrong? _______________________________________________ Member - [CHRST] Christian Fellowship Foundation

The security rating increases are a percentage increase, and not a set value. The percentage is also taken as a difference between the maximum (+10) and what you currently have. So as your rating goes up, the less increase you get from the same percentage.
For example, let's say you have a 0.00 security rating, and get an increase of 0.04%. This gives you a new rating of:
(10 - 0) * 0.04% = 10 * 0.0004 = 0.004 increase.
Now you have a security rating of 0.004 and another increase of 0.04%. Your new rating is:
(10 - 0.004) * 0.04% = 9.996 * 0.0004 = 0.0039984 increase.
Your new rating would then be 0.0079984.
A decrease is calculated the same way only taking the difference from the minimum (-10).
