Lo all, This is a quick question for all the film makers out there.
I've been making a video from some nice fraps I took a while ago. I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro. However, the output seems to be sticking at 720x576
Check the linky
Now, all the input fraps files are recorded at 1152x864. I tried export to Adobe set to 1152x864, but the output is taken as the 720x576 setting so the top/sides/bottom of my screen are chopped off (so you can't see me killing stuff.....). You can see in the top right of the linked image exactly what the output video comes out like.
I want to change this option to 1152x864, but it's greyed out and I have no idea how to enable it! I think this is all I need to do to finish it.
This is my first real effort at working with Adobe and I can do some really nice and clever things I just couldn't do with WMM. But really need to know how to sort this bit out to continue. Any help is very gratefully accepted!

I had sort of the same problem one time, here is what I did. Finish the sequence your working on there, save the project. Make a new project, with the correct settings. In the new project, import the old project. Drag the sequence from that project down to the new sequence and then make the rest of the movie or if your done, export it. Think that worked for me... :)

you have to choose the resolution at the start when u make the project. AFAIK you wil have to start again and import the old footage --------------------------------------------

Yeah, the resolution is set when you create a new project.

Or you can choose your resolution when starting to render movie, using Adobe Media Encoder (<3 Loxyrider). ----------------------------------------------- Ash to Ash Dust to Dust |

I did try that, but it still had the edges chopped off as described before
Well, I did try and create a new project and, sure enough, there it is in the custom options.
I did import the old project and I can access all the old sequences fine. My transitions and stuff are gone, but they're easy enough to sort. All the prtl files need adjusted, but overall I'm glad that I don't have to actually start from scratch again!!!
Thx for all the help.

Maybe problem within "Title safe area" function ? You can change it, when creating new project. Personally i switching it to 0, in all directions (by default its like 10, 20, 10, 20 %)or something. ----------------------------------------------- Ash to Ash Dust to Dust |

LoL, I get this problem Too.
I did find a resolution for a local lecturer (That I share the house with) She Showed me how to do it a while ago, Now I've forgotten how to do it again. All I know is that its definately on the First page when Premier opens up.

If you set the video resolution on the export settings, it'll take the project as it appears in your preview and resize it. So, it'll crop your source video to 720, then resize it to 1152.
You need to actually change your project settings to Video for Windows (not DV) and set your resolution. Make sure you change it to progressive scan rather than interlaced too.
You may need to make a new project and re-add all the fraps unfortunately :(
