I havent been in WHs yet but was curious about something. In WH you cant see people on local, people lose their ships when PVPrs do things like cloak and get close with warp disruptors. For which they have to find you in systerm overview. They do this by flying through the center of the WH space.
Are WH big enough that a player could be mining or killing sleepers on the edge of the WH and not be seen by roaming PVPrs? |

Not to mention the guy who drops combat or deep space probes in a remote corner of the system. Puts their probes outside of dscan range of anything and determines you are in system. Then narrows your general location via dscan. Positions their probes in a nice pattern to get you in one quick scan. Warps to you points, and bumps you until their HIC and friend arrive. Enjoy the pod express back to high sec.
Rules of Carebearing in Wspace:
1) You ship is dead don't fly what you can't afford to lose.
2) Hit scan at least every 30 seconds, but expect to die any way.
3) Don't solo! If you have someone watching all open holes, and probes out looking for new holes you are much safer.
4) Don't assume you are alone. Someone could have activated your static, some could have logged off in the hole, assume they are there until someone jumps you.
5) Realize that you can't carebear it up forever in wspace. Sooner or later you will need to pvp or simply be a target. If you give someone a good fight they are less likely to decide to tear down your POS in hopes of finding a creamy center....

Hi again returning player after 2.5 years ... I see you still haven't done any of the things people have mentioned to you in your other 40 threads. Seriously, figure out what the hell you want to do, and get in a corp that does it. You'll learn more by doing, than by asking questions in every forum every day.
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

I do a combat probe scan in most every wormhole I go into just cause d-scan is crap for range. If your in there and someone wants to find you, they will. |

So i can enjoy my carebear rattlesnake or carrier? If they're missing you then they're bad in WH-space hunting. Best advice, grab a skif or a procurer and fit a cloak on it. Happy mining... |

And that, is a sure fire way to reduce the number of kills you get. Rule 1 of hunting in wormholes - no probes until you've got them narrowed down on d-scan and confirmed they aren't at a POS or anomaly. It really isn't much work to bounce around planets to d-scan the entire system, usually only have to do about 2 warps from the hole at most. All combat probing from the get-go is going to achieve usually is find you a load of POS'd up ships. |
