Gang warp is really usefull when doing missions or hunting as a group however it is hard for a gang to use multiple range weapon setups with the current system.
I frequently play with a friend who like to go for upp close and personal fighting but when we do my missions he has to warp in at my distance and then ither wait for the rats to come fly past him or fly towards them and risk missing them as they speed past him.
I think it would be a big improvement thus if the gang leader did not choose at wich distance from the central point you come in at, simply warp each player in at their preset default warp in distance.
Lets use an example. A gang made upp of: 1 Tempest pilot with 1400's prefering to be at 60km 1 Phoon pilot with 1200's and siege launchers prefering to be at 40km 1 Wolf pilot with 200mm autocannons and a rocket launcher for that upp close and personal feel.
The tempest pilot simply sets his default warpin distance at 60km, the phoon pilot sets 40km and the wolf pilot chooses 15km.
Now when the team leader warps the gang to a point each pilot warps in at his prefered distance.
Only the team leader would have a chance to pick distance but if he choses to change his ming from warping in at 15km to 100km this will not effect any of the other pilots as they will warp in at their prefered distances.

Well Fester I like the idea, it would clearly be better way to do it, simply because it would aid in gang combat tremendously, gangs are often made up of many different ship types that need different optimal ranges, it just doesn't make sense to warp them all in at the same range as its done now

I like the idea, but in the meantime you just have everyone warp in on their own at thier optimal. Not as good, but all we got atm.

I would rather see a drop out of warp timer sync.
If your gang leader then you should set the earliest someone drops out of warp, or better yet the entire fleet drops out at the same time (ie as if they were the slowest ship).
Entry into warp can stay the same but it would be nice to have the fleet drop out together as a wing rather than as individuals, i mean you just GANG warped. TotensBurntCorpse Likes EVE, Starfleet Command Series, Earth & Beyond, Anything Battlefield, MOHAA, Call of Duty.
Dislikes Not much. |

I love this idea as i usually play with only 2-3 people including myslef. The real bonus here would be for mission running, where only the gang leader takes a mission and thereby has the jump point.
