A container for freighters so that you can keep your stuff seperate from others without huge manifest.
I have 40k m^3 of modules and I cant use the corp freighters becuase it takes to long to list.
Im not after more space in the containers, just a container.

have you tried setting up a courier mission? It should be wrapped into a nice little box then.
If you do tell me how it works out please :)

For a mere 40k m^3 I expect you could just as well use giant secure containers, the biggest are somthing like 3.5k m^3 while that would meen you need 12 of them but...
I do however agree that for those freighters and their 700k+ m^3 giant secure containers are not much help.
Asuming you have not forgot about station containers (I dont know if they can be used or not) I agree that there is no reason why there should not be a large container that works like the way you ask for.

you do know that you cannot carry assembled containers in a freighter as they currently work right ? TotensBurntCorpse Likes EVE, Starfleet Command Series, Earth & Beyond, Anything Battlefield, MOHAA, Call of Duty.

it has to be one of the most annoying overlook for the Freighters.
(edit) I'm only signing the "freight box" idea that wouldn't be "compressed" that way, you can carry all those "perishable goods"...
There's enough room in the freighter already. ---------------------- Liski Interim Director of Internal Affairs 3240 inc. |

I didnt know but I suspected as much.
However 40.000m^3 is not really worth taking out the freighter for, even with expander I's on a mammoth I can get as high as 15.000m^3 and thus a dedicated hauler should be able to haul 40.000m^3 worth of modules in one or two runs with a dedicated hauler with good expanders.
In any case, it may not have come across all that well but I do think its a good Idea to make containers that do not use the Phlank bubble technology so that freighter pilots can split upp their cargo and ship multiple destination or otherwize goods.

Um...Why did they take it down to just below 1M m3? They can't haul dreads around now....which means they have to be built-on-site, or flown to the detination via synosural (worm) holes

my modules are 40k m^3 my umteen ships are something different.
Ships are easy to list/move
without a frighter I can fly my BS's and BC's fit cruisers and some modules in a hauler fit destroyers and modules in a hauler fit frig and ceptors + modules in a hauler
thousands of modules are not easy.
its very easy to say use a normal hauler to move your stuff, but when you are talking 60 members corps having to use haulers......

Just partition the cargo hold of freighters like corp hangars or something similar. It should have a built-in partitioning system.
Being able to move all the corps gear in one go is great, but having to mix everyones stuff together is ridiculous. We were excited about freighters because they would facilitate corp and member asset relocation. The inability to partition different members belongings makes this a chore. |
