Regarding this article: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Multiple_clients as we now have this new launcher, is those junctions still necessary for multiple clients?
Also if junctions is still the way to go, how is the best way to go about it with this new login feature? Am a bit confused i must say. |

Ive always used multiple clients...and never once had to junction anything.
I still use multiple clients with the new launcher.
Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

I've never even read that.
I have three accounts and just start up Eve three times if I want to multibox them all. With the new launcher, either start up the first character and alt tab back to the launcher, or otherwise start eve using the ExeFile.exe (in eve/bin) which brings up the old login screen. |

Multiple installs will not work very good with the launcher, if you use multiple accounts on the same install launcher will work just fine (unless you have more than 7 accounts as the launcher only save 7 usernames).

If i remember correctly, the use for junctions was so that each account could save different setting for everything, overview, chat, graphic settings, audio, window position and so forth.
So that's why am wondering, it's a good while since i started using these junctions, and didn't care to think to much about it until now, since we got this new launcher. Maybe everything works fine without junctions today? |

/c Heya big guy,
I could be very wrong, but I believe I saw a post that indicated that it would save more than 7 names but only shows them 7 at a time. In other words, if you type the first letter or two of an account further down the list than your first 7 the box will auto fill the rest. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

Any news regarding this? |

Not that i know off, am still using the junctions though.
One thing am missing at least, is that the launcher remembers the username used for which junction am starting up. As it is now, it remember the last opened account, and each junction contains ever account name, so i sometimes mix it all up. |

I was also wondering this, but I have that many problems with the new launcher crashing, or just going all blank or white, tried reinstall of the client and still have issues.
Keep thinking "if it aint broke don't fix it", never had these problems with the old method and we had nice logon screens for each expansion to boot.
Guess I should read the dev blogs to see all the wonderful stuff the new launcher does |

EVE>bin>ExeFile. That is how you start EVE. Atleast that is the file I put on my desktop to start EVE. Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the wise. Seek what they sought. |
