If CCP takes this the way they have been taking lore recently, then that will be decided by capsuleers.
I imagine a military coup where players chose to either back Heth's regime, or kick him out. Watch Fred Fred Frederation and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it! |

Tibus has many backers and he will remain in power for as long as he is needed. |

As much as I enjoy the character (a flawed personality is truly the most interesting), Heth is almost certainly on the way out. Almost nobody outside of the Caldari Empire supports him and at least half of those in Caldari space despise him. His position is untenable. |

You'd think Heth wouldn't be hated by his own people after he took back Caldari Prime. Then again, since he took like 90% of th Caldari fleet to Caldari Prime, he probably twisted a lot of arms to get it done. |

Definitely on his way out, Caldari Prime was a disaster. |

So I chose the bloodline of a race with more trouble than an elephant on rollerskates? This could get interesting. |

while he's respected and adored by some population inside the state, he's going practically by more personal motives than for the good of the state itself, just look what happens with Kaalakiota, the megacorp is selling assets in order to cover its support during the Caldari Prime incident. he put in danger a whole megacorporation just for a stupid movement, and he lost.
he's gonna get down very soon, the Caldari State must keep as descentralized as possible, Heth is a ******* dictator and that goes against the idea of the state. |

The first sign of Heth being on the way out was the murder of Janus Bravour, in 2008. Since then, it hasn't been the question if he'll be gone, but when he'll be gone. |

I, for one will be happy of a possible return to a multifacetuous model. The State is a confederation of corporate states with a few common offices. It does not need a president. I find it kind of silly that some people think even OOC that Heth is a head-of-state. He isn't, and unless mandated to do so by a majority vote of the CEOs of the eight largest megacorps, he is "just" a megacorporate CEO who has admittedly made very good deals with other megas to allow him coordinate strategic resources. |

with the last announcements made by him, looks like he intends to centralize the power of the megacorporations under his mandate, basically making the megacorps state property instead of being autonomous entities. outrageous! |
