In the US, you are hitting prime net time, middle of the day, most people will be at work on LAN/WIFI that is limited bandwidth, even if we can take a break to catch this - some can, come can't... the poor options and the lack of bandwidth controls is just lame, I really hate that this is the choice of live-stream, Twitch needs alot of twitching....
I would much prefer youtube, it has all the Options, and so on, so feel free to do all the twitch content, but PLEASE follow up with YouTube versions so that the rest of the universe not directly connected to the local DS-3 or Fiber can at least follow up a day later... Look at all the Macks in local...impressive...very impressive...I see you have fashioned a new exhumer...much like you father's...your skills as a miner are now complete...indeed you are powerful as CCP Devs have foreseen. |

Or you just cant find them?
http://twitch.tv/ccp/videos?kind=past_broadcasts
Or if you have troubles viewing videos in browser just download them from Twitch via various sites that convert direct download links (or DownloadHelper browser extension).
Quote:so that the rest of the universe not directly connected to the local DS-3 or Fiber can at least follow up a day later... In good old times, when MTV actually showed music in 90's, I could never imagine that someone from US would have problems with Internet bandwidth. With my 5 Mbit DSL Internet, based on 60-years old soviet era copper telephone wires, I have no problems watching CCP streams with 1080+ and 720 profiles. So maybe you should blame your provider and not Twitch? -¥ |

It's really hard to hit both Europe and US prime time with the current curvature and rotation of the planet but we sort of try to catch both a little bit anyway with this timeslot. i think it was hinted on the OPs that the planet being round is your fault.
i expect the nex Dev cycle to be used either relocating the Eurasia tectonic plate on a geostationary orbit over the United States or lighting Jupiter on fire to make a new sun.

The solution is quite straight forward. Everyone should just schedule themselves using Proper Standard Time (PST), irrelevant of where you are on the planet. (Some trolls will say PST stands for Pacific Standard Time. Do not listen to them.) As we should all be proper, this is obviously the proper thing to do. To follow some other time would be most improper. For example you would not want to be on Mistaken Standard Time (MST) or Crazy Standard time (CST), Erroneous Standard Time (EST) or worst of all Bizarre Standard Time (BST) which is the same as the weird Eve time.
Once everyone is Proper, scheduling things in Eve will be easy.

Ttwitch.tv is running out of capacity in europe. That's what makes europe viewers actually get routed (or something like that, I'm not that into the tech) over to the US, which causes the lags for both sides that everyone is currently experiencing.
However, twitch.tv has announced to build three additional data centers in europe.
At least that is what I heard on the GD show (a show on esports and all the stuff that surrounds it). |

This might well be the case. I had trouble watching the show, as even the low res transcodes were badly stuttering and this isn't a bandwidth problem on my end. Twitch just wouldn't send anything. |

There are quality controls for 1080p, 720p, 420p, 360p, and 240p. If NONE of those options work for you then you may need to upgrade your state of the art Net Zero connection to something not from the 1990s. I had no trouble watching it in 720p on my 3Mbit DSL, and I am on the low low end of the connection scale. |

Get rid of that damn flash wrapper on the stream since the underlying stream is h264.
Get with the 21st century and dump flash or is it Twitch and their neanderthal approach to streaming. |

i really dislike this whole twitch tv service, fanfest on twitch was very disappointing and the continued use of the service has not seemed to improve .
i would rather just download the freaking file and watch it rather than put up with the glitches and stuttering and what not. |
