Dear Vectra,
Your extended absence from space has become troubling, and I certainly hope that all is well planetside with you and your family. Given that you have seemingly vanished, the thought has occurred to me that perhaps you have had some trouble renewing your pilot's license. I can only hope that perhaps you still take the time to read the communications here at IGS from time to time.
If you have in fact allowed your license to expire due to life's unfortunate circumstances, then I trust you won't mind me taking the liberty to lend a hand. I have posted a contract to you for a 30-day Pilot's License Extension (PLEX), and I shall continue to repost this contract whenever it expires. Feel free to utilize the services available to you to access and activate this extension at your leisure.
You are dearly missed.
-Norrin

I will raise this thread back to the top of the board. Not just because you have done myself a favor in the past, Norrin, but because I also sincerely hope that you find your friend. I am glad to finally come across a social interaction wherein not all the present men are grotesque pigs. I find it hard to believe the omni-present quafegirl hasn't made her mark here as of yet - bringing all men to their knees in praise of her gargantuan chest. (Can you imagine the back problems?)
I am extremely moved by this, hopefully she returns to space with us and pays the gesture forward. Caldun ~

Dear Vectra,
I finally finished the work in Black Rise that I had only started when we last spoke. Afterwards, I traveled out to Ordion in the Kor-Azor region; it was more crowded than I remember. Now I am home in Fricoure and have the opportunity to regularly visit my family on Gallente Prime. They ask about you and Singhua whenever I see them. I tell them you are well, which is somewhat presumptuous, but if you are still at home with your family, then I like to believe it's a fair presumption.
I recently stopped by the beach where we went camping. The sand castle you built is largely undisturbed, save for some minor erosion by the breeze. I trust you won't mind that I sculpted some miniature people to make it seem more lively. Strolling down the beach, I heard the familiar chatter of the birds, and I wonder if they remember you--I wonder if they are curious why I returned without you.
Space seems so quiet lately. I miss your small, sweet voice that captures my attention. I miss sharing starcakes with you, and I can only hope that you, Singhua, and your mother are enjoying some together. When you are ready to come back to space, I will be patiently--okay, anxiously--waiting with open arms.
The PLEX contract has been renewed again for another two weeks. You are deeply cherished.

Dear Vectra,
The last two weeks have been relatively uneventful. I haven't been eating as many starcakes as you might expect. Chef Qiao asked if there was something wrong, so I told her I've been missing you. Now when I order starcakes from her, she decorates them with traditional Jin-Mei stories about friendship and love. I can't really read them, but I'm trying to learn. In the meantime, Qiao reads them to me before I eat them. She laughs at my pronunciation, just like you did when I fetched that flower for your hair.
My birthday is coming soon--Thursday, to be precise. I've spent 27 years here in this great big universe. Coincidentally, it's my 5-year anniversary as a pilot, too. Time certainly flies by, and I'm thankful that we capsuleers generally have a generous supply of time to squander. I haven't decided how to celebrate the occasion or whether I want to celebrate at all. I would most like to share the day with you, but at this point, I presume it will take a miracle for that to happen.
I keep telling myself that I'll see you again soon, but every day it seems that soon is not soon enough. Being pampered all my life has made me very impatient. Maybe waiting to see those warm brown eyes again will make a better man of me. In the meantime, I keep looking toward Lirsautton and hoping, and every other Saturday, I renew my promise to you again by reposting a contract.
Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, I hope you're happy and safe.

The contract was posted again today, but there was a lapse of several hours because I had some business that required my attention. I certainly hope that you did not attempt to complete the contract during that time. If you did, I am terribly sorry for the oversight.
From now on, I will renew the contract every week while continuing to set the contract duration for two weeks, so this issue should not occur again. CEO, Venture Racing Senior Banker, EVE Online Hold'Em |

Dear Vectra,
It has been almost 4 months since I last heard from you. I can't help feeling that these messages in a bottle don't reach you at all, yet this remains the only means I have to let you know that your friends are still hoping to see you again soon. As I toss yet another note into the vast sea of stars, I cling to the thought that it will wash up on your shore.

Dear Vectra,
I'm back where I was when last I heard from you. I doubt I'll spend as much time in Black Rise as I did last time, for I tend to get homesick lately. The passage of time continues to shake my faith that I will see you again, but my thoughts and prayers are always with you.
A contract still awaits your return.

Sure, this is all very heartwarming and all, but Mr. Ellis is known for having a condition known as 'too much money'.
He once paid me 100 Million Isk to rename whatever ship I was currently flying, at the time a Coercer-class complex-fighter, to the "The Graevy Boat."
I complied, and the funds were well spent. Such vessels are the fodder of the Front. However, to my profound annoyance, the Coercer ended up in service for some consecutive months and racked up double-digit kills, which admittedly does not represent the usual pattern of performance I usually have with such ships. The hull had somehow taken on the rather irritating attribute of nigh-invincibility in the Service of the Empire, along with causing some odd looks from both crew chiefs and fellow pilots.
All crew aboard her survived it's eventual destruction and now the damned thing is whispered of reverently by my front-liners. It really is the stuff of sighs and consternation. + Cardinal Graelyn + Owner/Operator, "The Summit" Amarr Loyalist of the Year --áYC113 |
