As a person who suffers from Motion sickness I under stand your problem.
I suggest you fill out a petition as well instead of just complaining on the forums. Untill then I suggest you do one of the following things:
- Make sure Auto-Focus is off (press C)
- Look away or close your eyes when you jump trough a gate

I shut down all the graphics settings that I could to low but it won't go back to the way it was. Does anyone know how to shut this stuff off yet?

Vincent Athena wrote:Turning off the autofocus does stop the camera from doing a 180 and looking back at the gate you just used. So that will help. If that's not enough, then closing your eyes or at least looking away for the duration may be best.
You could also trying covering the screen with windows.
Would that be windows XP
Windows 7
Or windows 8? This is not a signature. |

Im leaning towards the "If normal warp doesnt make you sick neither should the new gate jump effect" simply because it makes sense.
People being people, complaning for the sake of complaining.
Also I laughed at your "problem" sorry, but its just funny to me if its actually true! |

The scene from the Matrix when they zoomed in from a satellite view down to the top of a building with Neo standing on it used to make me feel like I was falling. It was pretty off-putting, but I got over it after watching it a few hundred times.
If people really are getting sick there should be an option to disable it, but the time it takes for the new system to load should not be any different. |

The animation hurts my eyes. I mean I actually feel a pain when the animation starts. I have had arthritis in one eye and the animation seems to aggravate it.
Yay! This thread has so much content it may be 'Thread of the Year' and it is only January.

I haven't seen the animation yet - but are we talking about the jump gates or the warp gates to other systems? Since I've not seen the animation, I don't know if it would make me sick. However if it does, I would close my eyes just using common sense, but that really would suck since one of the things I enjoy doing in the game is looking around during a warp. |

Me, I don't have a problem with it. But if others do.. hmm. Nah it's people over reacting as per change protocol. The jump animation is almost identical to the warp animation. (yet they don't complain about that) If it's because of tracking camera, just turn it off.
Amen. Same damned thing, just fancier. |

itss almost the same but not exactly
there are 2 main problems when i am undock and sittign still there is a line that goes counter clockwise and that has to do with the system scanner
the other main one is the way when you warp to a gate it changes so you look at the gate and then sends you flying also when you are going through the warp tunnel it twist more then it did before
cant close your eys or turn away because it is fast when you hit jump it just moves the screen ...and anyways the counter clockwise line is always there so basically you want me to have my eyes closed all the time? |

lol you think that's bad, try being on a boat during a squall. up, down, side, side, up, down, pitch, pitch - repeat until storm is done. I used to work on a fishing trawler out of Duncannon in Co. Wexford, Ireland in my late teens/early 20's. Yeah, after rough seas your stomach creates a cast iron coating. |
