If you answered "YES! OH GOD RAZNER, YES!" to any or all of those questions, perhaps its time you signed up for VHI. Im going to lay it straight to you - we are a small corporation. Most of our members are new. Most of us arent in battleships. We dont gatecamp. We pursue the time-honored and wallet-starving tradition of holding people for ransoms. In belts. 
Yes, those things that are far away from gates.

Dont worry about that my italics-utilizing homeboy. We will train you and have you out killing people in a week. Or two, if you're really, really dense. We have helpful manuals in corporate Evemail telling all you need to do, and you can always ask our other members for help.

Sure. Remember, if youre building things for pirates, you are supporting a terrorist cell! And that meets a major requirement for VHI. As long as you get that happy feeling, knowing that ammunition will be moved from our guns into other peoples hulls. 
Is participation mandatory?
Bwahahaha. No. If it was, I myself would have been kicked from the corporation months ago. You do your dirty deeds on your own time, of your own volition. Want to go npc for a month? Go for it. Trade runs? Go for it. Mining? *twitches*.. Go for it. When you'z in that killin mood, you'll generally find several more members in an area near you, also wanting to go out.
So, you work in gangs?
Indeedy. We are, for the most part, frigate specialists. You'll be amazed at what 3 or 4 frigate pilots can do to even the biggest ships. Limits are learnt quickly, and broken even quicker. Our corporation is very newbie friendly in this regard - grab a frig, go out, have fun. If you lose it, youre not in debt. 
I myself am in Hawaii and therefore on a VERY strange timezone, so you may not see me, personally, online. The rest of the corporation are like my brothers, however - we are all very close, and questions are always welcome.

I've flown with these guys once or twice before, and I have to say they are a pretty cool bunch. Recomended of you wanna get into the whole piracy/PVP side of EVE. LMAO at the post too Razner

Highly recomended to any "would-be" pvp/pirates just getting a start in eve and would like to learn the ropes a bit before striking out on their own.
You'll laugh your arse off at some of the insane stunts these guys pull off on a regular basis. The absolute funniest bunch of players I've met in eve to date. (playing since Jan 2004 )

Those of VHI that I have met were really great guys, if you're into belt piracy, I doubt you could do much better than these guys.
Watch out for Cairo Dog though, he's been known to eat people...

I too am sick of idly watching episodes of "The bold and the Bantam full" and would love to have a talk with you about how we can turn me into a snarling and screaming killing machine, or just a pirate to start with 
I am new to the game, so I am a bit low on funds and skills, I hope that isn't a problem, anyway please evemail if I am eligable.

Have no fear! I doubt you are newer than I, with 5 days in the corp, and less than two weeks playing the game. Arr the life of a pirate is good! From thieving to pirating, ahh the joys!!
I myself am more of an industrial player, but pirating is always fun :-) My solo "pirating" consists of me helping out all the miners out there by hauling their goods for free, and 100% of the profit.
However, on my first night out, with Razner and another player who started the same time as me, we were responsible for quite a few ship deaths. I went from a lovely 0.0 status to an even more lovely -1.5 in just one night!
There is nothing better than three frigates going out and being responsible for the deaths of a Vexor, a Thorax, and a Megathron. What can I say?

Jimmy speaks true. We engaged and killed a rax mining, and ran when his friend engaged in his rax. 20 Minutes later, the person sees us, (aggression timer off) and shoots us near a gate, and dies.
They send a vexor to grab the loot, he shoots at us, and he dies.
5 minutes later a megathron warps in, shoots once, sentries hit him, he warps to station, sentries eat him. Good times all around.
Things arent normally this exciting, but with the influx of new members things are quite chaotic :D Good times!
