one of my alliance members has a MacBook Pro 17". He cannot see his probes in space, ONLY the little arrows in the center of the probes and not the probes themselves (the blue orbs).
I'm using a 15" Retina MBP and am not having the same problems. He is running 10.8.4, he cleared the cache etc. Same issue. Is there some setting that hides the orbs that I never knew about?
Any ideas? |

I'm having this issue as well!
I go into the system map in order to manage my probes, and the grid/sphere graphics that surround each probes range do not show up. This makes it impossible to accuratly place them. |

I'm getting this as well on my 13 inch Mid 2009 MacBook Pro. I can see the move handles but not the range spheres. I think it was the OS X 10.8.4 update that killed it for me as I was happily probing earlier in the day. |

Optimized for performance most highest setting. still the same problem. tryed clearing the cache. full screen/windowed no effect.

Thanks, and just for some more info, can you tell me what hardware and OS you are using so I can match it to your settings? I can then try it out in the same environment. CCP Paradox | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Super Friends @CCP_Paradox |

Issue solved for me.
I updated to 10.8.4 and tested. did not solve the problem.
Then I went to Reset Settings Tab. Reset to Default Window Positions Reset to Default Window Colors Clear All Settings.
Clients restarts. Probe Sphere does show. So it must be some setting in the client I had or it was it just needed a reset slap. |

I played around with different graphic settings but never got the range spheres to show up. Oddly everything was fine until I updated to OS X 10.8.4. So, at least for me, that may be a culprit. |

Same problem but something else of interest regarding it: The probe spheres appeared as normal for about the first half hour of gameplay, then upon entering another system, they no longer appeared. The strange thing is that they appear fine on another account I have. Same mac, same client, just different account.
Have tried: -clearing cache -resetting settings -all graphics settings -different ships -different systems
Nothing working so far, and can't understand why two different accounts on same mac would have different results but it may help identify the problem.

I noticed some strange behaviour too. after resetting everything the probes showed, then I loaded my overview settings. puff gone. so I reseted again. but this time reset had no effect. maybe the overview loading had no effect and it was some time based issue too. |

I am having this issue as well. Tried resetting settings and various different graphics settings but nothing helps. Makes exploration almost unplayable.

Just bumping this again, very excited to keep doing the explo sites and hoping for a fix. I have since noticed strange issues as well, probes were visible for about 10 secs. as soon as i tried to move them they disappear again, and couldn't seem to get them back. Very odd behavior, but this is crippling, cant navigate the map because its very difficult to orient yourself/probes without the ability to see them. |

Here's an interesting data point. This morning, without me changing any settings, it was working correctly. I scanned down a couple of sites then left for work. This afternoon, again without changing any settings, it is again broken. So whatever it is, at least in my case, it's not directly linked to turning up or down or on or off a graphic setting. |
