So its official noxcium is selling higher or equal to zydrine. All highs dropped after patch why? Why would anyone mine in Lowsec anymore when u can make aton more ratting and comparable isk in highsec. |

Not battlecruisers, battleships, carriers, dreadnaughts, supers, freighters, orcas or JFs.
Remove all that and the demand for minerals is a little weak. |

Lots of BSes were built prior to the patch, they all needed mins, now they don't need mins. Expect a bumpy ride.

Expect a bumpy ride. It's not just that minerals where in high demand before the patch and are correcting to normal demand now.
Instead minerals are going from a sustained period of extreme high demand to a period of extreme low demand. Add to that two boosts to mining (improved ore composition and more easily accessible gravemetric sites) and the lack of any upcomming mineral consuming speculation magnet and you see mineral prices step off a cliff. |

When the new refining figures went public, it would have been better to store and not refine high end ores. Players are now flooding the market with high end minerals because they can now get extra goodies.
The only market left for teiricide speculation is industrial ships and that will not soak up minerals like the battleship trade, so expect mineral prices to fall as the same production slots running battleships will not be able to consume minerals in the same volume.
However with half duration for ice harvesters, there is an oppurtunity cost between farming ice verse minerals so it is tough to say if the mineral market will continue to have the strong supply it did before the expansion.
Fun times ahead

Supply is higher than demand. It's not that hard.
At this point I'm predicting a drop in low-end prices too. Can you guess why?

If things go the way I anticipate Capital parts are going to replace pretty much everything in production.
It's more a question of, will those capital parts end up in ships that get destroyed. R.I.P. Vile Rat |

The main cause of this "crash" in my opinion was due to people selling off stock piles from the last month, as well as the demand from battleship production decreasing. This short term increase in supply, and decrease in demand, I think will not last however.
First with changes to ice, many miners will, and have been shifting away from ore. Second changes to capital rigs will eat up a substantial amount of the extra minerals. Third a big war is just getting started, this will not only have an effect on the demand of ships, but as well as the amount of minerals that are being supplied from null sec.
Will mineral prices drop even further? will they rebound to what they have been in past couple of weeks?
I personally cannot see them going much lower than they currently are, and as far as them going up in value? I think it is a possibility, time will tell though. |

Zydrine drop is not going to be for a while.
I expect zydrine to skyrocket within 2 weeks, 3 if unlucky.
Many things going in that direction

Blah, blah, blah, blame hi sec miner's, or maybe just maybe Zydrine is chiefly produced in....hummm, guess.
They cried oh mighty CCP nerf drones and the drone regions because it's to blame....after the nerf Zydrine shot up....100 isk, oh God 0.0 should get X-tra out of the asteroids in null because of risk....whoops, ahh crackers this means what, more minerals on the market ....but let's just blame it on hi sec again. |

I dont think i blamed highsec. Its more ccps failure to acknowlege how unvaluable there "rare and valuable" minerals are. Btw U mad brah? |

Mining in nullsec roughly pays the same as mining in hisec. Now CCP obviously found high-end minerals too expensive, so they added some low-end minerals to the ores that contain the high-end ores. The market will make sure the price of the high end ores are somehwat equal in value to the lower-end ores, so the high-end mineral prices have to go down. |
