Are WH's still generated in High Sec? I am a solo player who is based in High Sec, but runs WH's both into WH systems and low/nul when WH's let me. But since the upgrade I have not seen a single WH. So am I having a string of bad luck and just need to wait out the 'dry patch', or as the title asks, have I missed something and will have to hunt WH from Low Sec? |

It's the will of Bob, he wants wormholers to base themselves out of wormhole, not from high sec. Or then it's just the random nature of exploration. You take your pick. |

I must be finding them all first, since i've run across 20 today alone.

Well stop being greedy
But seriously, Thanks guys, I can live with a short WH drought. Still, it will give my cheep and chearfull, throw away Retrievers time to cool down seeing as they have just come out of the ovens |

tbh, if anything I am finding MORE wormholes. I found a LS system with 5 wormholes (2 incoming, 3 outgoing) to a C1, 2 C2's, a C3, and a C5.

Do you mean you're not finding ANY wormholes or you're not finding ones generated in high-sec?
Because I can't swing a stick in a system without hitting a k162.

That's right, to date I have had nothing at all in the way of a WH. OK, I will admit that my 'hunting patch' is pretty small, just a couple of systems. But pre Odyssey there would always be one on the go, mainly K162's, but usable all the same. But now, nothing; and I want to find out if CCP have realy killed off WH mining, or if it's just whines from those "I don't want to PvP Pewpew at any cost, even in a WH system.". |

We've cycled the static 11 times in the last 3 days, and fully scanned everything as far as 6 jumps from our system without finding a single low or high. Either someone's stealing all the exits, Odyssey has lowered the spawn rate, or empire kiddies aren't scanning opening them up. Either way its really annoying. |

I ran a route through 5 jumps of high-sec yesterday and scanned for data sites as I went. In 5 high-sec jumps I saw 7 wormholes. |

since odyssey reached TQ, WH related sig spawn seems odd.
1- i live in C2, since odyssey, the nb. of sigs is weird, beside the 2 WH that are always there, we only had 2 sigs since the patch (yes 2 !!)
2- our lowsec exit is almost always landing in the 2 same regions (90% of the time), while before, we were landing randomly
3- in our lowsec base, there is WAY more WH spawn, but some of us living in other regions report way LESS wh spawn
so it seems there are now k-space gifted in WH, and others under shortage, and spawn rate within WH seems buggy |

Odyssey was released 23 days ago. So you draw your conclusions from a sample with 23 specimens. Enough said. . |

Terrorfrodo wrote:Odyssey was released 23 days ago. So you draw your conclusions from a sample with 23 specimens. Enough said. well, only 2 sigs in 23 days.....yes, seems enought to start a conclusion that something is wrong.
i'm not talking about a kind of sig (like we don't spawn grav in a while, this has happened), i'm talking about sigs all together.
most of the time, our WH only hold 2 sigs and no anomaly
i've been in WH for quite some time now, and while it could happen to have a day or 2 without sigs, this was nowhere close to what is happening ATM....
when you live in a WH, that kind of trend is easy to spot in 23 days, it makes in fact a LOT of samples, because collapsing one take 4-5 minutes, and in 23 days, we've been through a lot of exits, probably 300-400 (at least) and 90% of them end in one of the two aforementioned region, while pre-patch, we were opening in a rather random manner all over new eden |

I've had such droughts too. It happens. Of course one can never be 100.0% percent sure that CCP did *not* screw up your specific system, but it appears unlikely :p
More likely, apart from just general randomness, is that some corp moved out of another system in your constellation and stopped triggering the sites there. And other systems in the constellation were not visited, so their sigs weren't triggered either. I bet one of these days you'll see a ton of new sigs at once.
Thinking of Ore Sites, there is now no reason to trigger them at all just to get rid of them. I believe that probably >90% of ore sites in w-space where always only triggered to make them go away.
I was in a c5 once that got fewer than 10 new sigs in over 2 months. That was years ago in a c5-c2, at the time I think these were very unpopular and almost all empty. I assume that's why I never got sigs; they were rarely triggered elsewhere, so did not move to me. . |

I assume that's why I never got sigs; they were rarely triggered elsewhere, so did not move to me. i fully understand all that and , like any ppl in WH, am very aware of their mechanics but:
1- some other corps are in the constellation, running sigs 2- we have emptied ALL the WH we got connected to, and still no change (especially those within our const / regionfor obvious reasons, and we are pretty active, so cleaning another w-space doesn't take long).
again, yesterday, not a single sig.
i know that it could, in theory, happen, but for that long, it is unlikely, what would be the odds?
and this doesn't explain the nb. of WH found in low sec, or the strange fact we now always exit almost only in 2 regions btw.
so yeah, imao, something got changed / broken by odyssey |

You do realise that the constellation your WH belongs to has nothing to do with which wormholes you're connected to right? The constellations are fixed lists and it's pretty rare that you'll be connected to a system in your own constellation since there are typically less than 10 systems in a constellation. You can find the systems in your constellation on Dotlan, here's the constellations for region Unknown R29 for example: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/region/Unknown_R29 |

if memory serves me, we landed 7-10 time in a WH part of our region (wich is really not much according we collapse one every 10 min, yeah i know we are slow, working on it...) |

Well, maybe you have podded a CCP dev recently when he was bearing away in his C2?
I guess you can try to file a petition or file a bug report... although moving system may be quicker. If there is something broken with your system (which I still highly doubt, but you never know), it is probably hard to find. And GMs/devs will not believe it anyway, just like we didn't . |
