Why should someone in bed or at the store be allowed to have an impact on others who are in game?
You let people who aren't actually playing the game have an impact on you? When has an AFK cloaked guy ever killed someone?
The guy who was sitting next to me in the first nullsec round table who had obviously not had a shower since before boarding his flight to Iceland, you really stank. You know who you are. |

In Odyssey 2.00 you will need to play a hacking mini game with every ship on overview to hold your cloak.

Not a bad suggestion. I was thinking maybe a countdown timer that allows you stay claoked for X amount of time and your allowed to reset it once it drops below a specific mark. |

People in hi-sec dont really care. A person in null on the other hand is different. Just like with the ice miners needing interaction so to should the cloaker.
A cloaker in null can disrupt many aspect of the null players day to day business. They should not be able to do so if there in bed or at the key board.
I enjoy my cloakies and I have been known to park it a system while not at key board to lull people into false felling of security and later sneak in point and have some friends warp in.
I think coverts are very valuable for intell also. I just think it should require interaction to function like any other aspect of the game.

Did someone enter the system and say "I'm cloaking and leaving the computer for a few hours" ? If so, that was me.
Wait, you're saying you're saying that brought the entire system to its knees? really? I wasn't even there. PI Profit Calculator: calculates your profits and taxes of any PI product depending on how you built them! |

This I can agree with Make it have a charge like Heavy Water or Liquid Ozone. That way a person only has it for a limited time before the Cloak shuts off.
Cloaking LV 1 allows 15 min, 2: 30 min, 3: 45 min, 4: 1 hour, 5 : 1:15
Using the stander cloak
Covert Cloak the time is doubled you have to have lv 3 to use it so it would look like this. 3: 1:30, 4: 2:00, 5: 2:30
But to make it so you have to be anymore interactive to use ti then putting fuel in is just crazy and would add an unneeded window when trying to get intel or move. and yes this is not-á my main. |

To require interaction with the game. Somone not even at the keyboard or in game should not be able to influence the actions or decisions of others that are in game and at thier keyboard.
Some will argue that if they are afk then there is no influence. I say they are wrong and are onlly trying to preserve a form of AFK play.
AFK is AFK weather its the miner or the cloaker. If not afk then click the button to stay cloaked for another 10-15 min.
If your not in game playing the game then you should really not be able to effect the choices of those who are. |

The problem is, you don't know if their active or not. That creates a fear. You Goons should know, you guys do it NON-Stop. When I flew with HBC Renters, you guys cloaky camped our systems non-stop.
It should be on random time anywhere between 5 minutes and 30 minutes. With a 30 second warning that you'll be decloaking. This won't mess up bombing runs, but it'll allow people who AREN'T at their computers to be killed or dealt with. |

Influence is on you. If you find someone who's been harmed by a cloaked ship, I'll show you someone who's using an exploit and deserves bannination.
Cloak works as intended. It's scary, yes. It's the submarine of this submarine game.
Use the many well-known counters of cloak to your advantage. Stop expecting :ccp: to do work for you.
Ohh, to counter your INTERACT argument....CCP has only considered game interaction required when you are deriving a direct, tangible benefit from the game. You get zero tangible benefit from sitting in a safespot cloaked, so CCP really doesn't care if you do it. Don't worry miners, I'm here to help!

Guess the next step is to make your market orders disappear when you're not logged in then? Or PI installations? Wardecs? There's already countless ways to influence the game without being at your keyboard. It seems to me that the problem is not so much that they are influencing you as you're letting yourself be influenced by them. It's actually your own decision how much influence someone who is afk has over you.
