There is a lot of people playing the game. Over 600,000. The jump ranges and warp speed are outdated to become a viable way to counter enemies and have an adequate supply line. We need it in next expansion so the game and our kind do well and grow.

I'd prefer our ships to be slower and travel only up to the Speed of Light, allowing hubs to be completely destroyed overnight, people will panic and become suck within their system, making only small jumps from one system to another when necessary.
This will cause these pilots to become incredibly hostile toward anyone not known by the system elder or in their language "Hekan" and death for these few brave pilots will be passing through the jump gate and forcing them to drown in their own vomit. |

absolutely no way... if anything jump mechanics need to be changed to get them limited.
i would go for making carriers and super carriers work as one would assume they would, loading ships and pilots and jumping them around. this way we can finally get rid of the awful titan bridging.
on the warp speed thing i have to agree.... ceptors can achieve very fast warpspeeds but their acceleration is the same as any other ship... that means that the difference between a 13AU/s speed and 3 AU/s will only be noticed once the speed actually gets to the max value... that makes the difference between one and the other merely of a few seconds. |

TiDi speeds your relative response time already. So what you're proposing is already in effect for large fights (the reason you claim you're proposing it).
At 50% TiDi, you get there in half the time (using elapsed time in the TiDi'd system as the frame of reference) that you would if TiDi were not in effect. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

clearly you have no idea what you're talking about and in fact jump drives allowing alliances to cross the galaxy in just a few min has been a major problem since their creation. jump drives have been a pretty big part of allowing these super coalitions to form and continue to exist

Better idea, get rid of jump tech entirely. The Sov alliances would have little option but to shrink quite a bit opening up a lot of empty systems for new blood. |

Jump ranges need to be halved. Black Ops were about right: people were using them, but complaining all the time about how they couldn't do everything. Titans should be capable of bridging and jumping as far as Black Ops used to, everything else should be far less.

Doubling jump ranges is fine... so long as CCP doubles the amount of isotopes needed for jump fuel and doubles the amount of liquid ozone to generate that cyno, etc...
Adds a little extra sense of urgency to mining those ice anoms every day, and you know CCP already wants that.

With the removal of static ice belts, the cost of liquid ozone is already increasing in price. So again, a nonissue. The balance is already there. |
