Hi,
I'm Amarr pilot (in amarr space specing in amarr ships etc..) and mostly until now I've used amarr drone boats (Dragoon > Arbitrator > prophecy) but I took short break and never made it into battleships or L4 missions etc.
anyway as my main DPS skills is on drones tree and I got some basic skills in gunnery tree but not much I would like to ask your help on what I should do in order to be able to solo L4 with the new Dragoon wannabe BS "Armageddon". thanks! |

Thanks to the new EFT, I'm finally able to fiddle around with fits. Came up with a MJD sentry Armageddon that uses rapid light launchers as anti frigate weapons. It's a bit tight on the fit but with both distance and the simple tank you should be able to kill everything before it kills you. Bit tight on CPU though. The drone bay is filled with all sorts of stuff, Curators don't work on all rats, so maybe pack a few bouncers or wardens instead. I think it will be fun to fly.

Unbonused launchers that barely add anything to the DPS anyway and as such are more useful to go against frigates than switching the drones, which are your primary weapon system and aiming at cruiser and up. Really, putting cruise launchers in there is just a waste of precious CPU.

This thing can do well with NOS for pve due to the bonus range.
You won't need 2 drone link augmentors.
Cruise missile fit. (( select damage type and no cap use, AC's 2nd choice for those who only use guns ))
Add 3 drone damage mods.
Both shield and armor can be done after that.
Don't be scared to pay for faction or c-type repair or booster.
Those going shield fit will need to use co-processors. |

the idea for FoF Rapid light missile launchers sounds kinda good as anti frig weapon cause I don't have enough skills to use large guns or even medium missiles.
friend in my guild tipped me to use MJD and then sent back with sentry drones until something gets too close and then jump around. what do you think? |

MJD - Sentry sniping probably works just fine. This will probably make the rapid-light launchers useless though, so perhaps get some cruise launchers in there instead, as they hit smaller targets reasonably well, and have phenomenal range. 
Just make sure your hardeners are as enemy specific as possible (maximum tank against their primary damage types, rather than omni), just in case they get into range to fire at you.
Having said all that, are your skills up to the task of flying a BS, those support skills are fairly boring, I'll admit, but they're vital for flying the big slow fat targets that are battleships. 
With the MJD you can escape most the of the time I imagine, but your ship will be very slow compared to something like a battlecruiser. |
