Back in beta there used to be a way to play your own mp3's from the games jukebox. It involved creating a folder in the eve directory and name it something I can't remember and then add a folder to that one also with a specific name I can't rmember. then u could place any songs u wanted (in mp3 format only IIRC) in the second folder and make a playlist in winamp of all the files and name it something like playing or something. You could do the same with another playlist and name it INTRO (hey I remembered one of the names correctly!) and it would play during the login screen even if you couldn't log on.
My intro song was the intro song from Linkin Park's Reanimation and the other songs of that album for playing.
It was one of my favourite functions, hopefully there is another beta player out there that remembers this function. ----------------------------------------------- Every light creates shadows - klurig |

There use to be a torturial on how to remove the tracks that are in eve and make your own plalist. It was a long time ago in the earlier days of eve. I remember it had something to do with first making the play list in winamp and saving it as a particular format into one of the eve folders. I'll see if I can remember excatly how to do it, but I don't know what kind of violations it causes so i'm a little concerned about bannings and such.

I heard eve radio was taken over by hidden m0o forces and has been broadcasting delta wave brainwashing signals to stupify the massees and turn them to the dork side...or was that a cartoon I saw...

I don't think I ever claimed it was within the limits of the EULA?
I just said that I didn't think they'd take action i.e ban someone if they added a folder of mp3s to listen too.......
If i am wrong then by all means feel free to gloat and celebrate a victory for robotic enforcement of end user agreements.
P.S try getting up on the other side of bed tomorrow

Think of it more as a moral-istic rant. Nothing personal.

Back in the day the directions from this actually came from a Dev, iirc. It might now be against the EULA and stuff but back then I dont think they had a problem with it.

Discussion of modifying the game client, which violates the EULA, is not allowed on the forums.
