Good day,
Our corperation found out this evening it is going to war, as war has been declared against us. I might add for no reason, other then "for fun".
Can some one please answer a question for me, please.
1. Once the 24hours is up - We can engage and be engaged anywhere 1.0 -to- 0.0 Space correct? At Gates, at stations, etc?

Make sure you tell all miners in your corp that they can be traced with locator agents, and will most likely be podded even if mining.

I don't think you can pod in corp wars in empire.

Be warned... almost no corp will declare a war without reason. they have a reason, and it may be as simple as "for fun" but trust me, they have spies in your corp. I suggest a internal security check.

its a good chance for you and youre corp to learn some PVP - you could try adding a few alts for raids give them the names and then disperse youre miners etc
Internal security check is always good
Otherwise have fun even if u get youre bottoms kicked it can be good fun

Considing how much ISS was podded during our war with them, I'd think you'd know better.

How exactly do you do an internal security check?

u might demand a screenshot of the char sceen. that might help. then be alert to security breatch. like if the enemy gang know¦s where u are hanging at.
then u better make note of who are online and start narrowing it down.
troble is after the guiding hand fiasko u cant be sure that your longtime m8¦t are on the level :( |

looks like you have a griefer problem
a year old player's corp (not mercs as far as i can tell) have decced a 2month old player's corp. they won't make a profit- sounds a lot like griefing to me.
if they really are doing it "for fun" make sure they don't get any fun. don't try and engage them unless you have a huge advantage don't fly round unprotected whatever you do, don't mine. don't smacktalk or flame finally, fit stabs on your ships - nothing annoys a PvPer more than failing to get a kill due to use of stabs.
if you follow these rules, they will flame you, they will smack and they will cry. what they won't do is enjoy it. wars for fun that aren't fun end soon. i suggest you have your main miners leave for NPC corps for the duration of the war
btw, i used the term "griefers" in this post. i do NOT mean pirates or PvPers or ore thieves. i mean people who dec noobs for no reason other than killing them "for fun". they will probably make an ISK loss in this war, and are unlikely to face a signicant risk. we all know that shooting easy targets is not fun (including roids ). that is griefing, pure and simple

warp core stabilisers
stop you being warp scrambled, so you can get away without being killed

Warp core stabilizers. They add to your ability not to get warp scrambled/disrupted so you can get out of dodge if you want to. Each one has one strength, and that gets offset against the scramble/disruption strength being used against you to determine whether you can warp off or not.

do NOT make the war mutual. at the moment, they have to pay to fight. if you declare it mutual, they won't have to pay, and will probably make a profit on it.
you have to do nothing but wait for the war to start. try and get a member list of their corp though.
finally, another piece of advice: fly only fully insured t1 ships and fit only t1 modules for the duration of the war. every valuable piece u drop when you die will help them make money and make them want to carry on the war

If they presist you might have to do the classic Disband and regroup manuever. Try to hire some mercs to defend yourself in any case.

I dunno, I am not sure of your corps capabilities but your opponenet is only in a 14 man corp himself. His bio and his corps do not show any pirate tendancies. Have you tried talking to him to see why he deced you in the first place? Other than that, either try to get help, or just have fun and attack them in frigate fleets as much as you can.

no! do not make the war mutual! that'l mean they dont have to pay for it.
It might be that they feel like messing someone up and have picked you guys because they determine you are weak.
Stick to T1 ships where ever you can.
make sure you know what a war target looks like on your overview (clikc the little tringle up near the top right of you HUD)
try and get a list of their members and where they like to hang out + what ships they use.
I'd try for a lil fleet of frigates on your part, they dont look threatening but can take down a BS effectively.
unfortunately it might disrupt your ops, like missions and mining. But it might get your corp to gather together more. remember to always try and wrok as a unit. some of you might grow to like PvP (it really can be fun :D)
if they are hurting you badly then hte only course of action is to disband and reform. if they declare again, then petition, cause thats getting close to grieving.
If you have access to location agents use them on the names you know of. write down there names and ships and location everytime you see one of them. it may paint a picture of where they'l likely to be, so you can hide from it if you dont want to fight, and hunt them when you do.
You could also add them to your adress books so you know when they are online and can spot them easily in local (that little green square)
Good luck out there.
Bite me....for i taste good :)

A 14 member corp that wardecs an inexperienced 9 member carebear corp deserves nothing more then contempt.
Don't get me wrong, I support empire warring on carebear corps, but at least pick one several times your own size and with some more experienced members.
Don't fight them in your expensive ships, just hop in cheap ships, stick together and learn some PvP. If can accept some minor losses you'll likely get best time ever.

Yeah but they'll petition you for exploiting.
Anyway, if you really can't handle them, find someone who can.
Usually I would be rooting for the other side, but not for bullies like this. Convo me if you need some more advice how to fight these clowns.
